I am looking for a source for a set of rally II Pontiac wheels for a factory build I am looking to finish. I had a set but lost two. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH if I can remember where I got them. All I know is that they are resin from a company out of Tennessee. IIRC, I got a few correct Pontiac parts from the same caster, Correct size bumper, correct 71 GTO seats, correct front valance w/ amber light covers. The wheels where a nice casting with the Pontiac arrow head on the center cap. So does this company sound familiar to anyone and is it still around. Or is there another source for the Pontiac Rally II wheels. Tim

While I have not had any sucess using brake fluid. I have had good luck with both Easy Off( standard stuff) and Pine Sol. While the easy Off has the nasty smell. Pine Sol has the pine smell which is better, IMO. Tim -

What is your dream model kit?
Tim H replied to Jordan White's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What I would like to see. A 71-72 Buick GS. A 73-74 Buick Gran Sport, a 75 Buick Century Pace car (Fred cady produced the decals but no one makes the car) Kits that could use a re-model( no pun) is the MPC 70 and 72 GTOs. Tim -
Shawn, have you found the Black Hill Scale modelers. They have an annual show in Rapid. they just moved the dates this year from Feb to April. A great bunch of people. if you like I can get you some contact info. I am a former member and try to make there show when the weather lets me. Tim

Well I am fromerly of MI. was a member of the Southeast Michigan Modelers ( 93-95) don't know of they are still around. grew up in Redford graduated Redford Union in 83, Walled Lake, and Detroit (moved in 1970) Returned from 9 years in the service in 92. couldn't stand all the people and build up. left in 95 never looked back. ONLY thing I miss is the almost daily car shows in the summer, and the model clubs and events. Tim

While all of us have had orange peal. I have found that you need to put the paint on heavy enough that it flattens out but light enough that is doesn't run. It is a fine line I learned. it took me a while to learn it. I was always going to light. I usually warm my cans up under hot tap water. I will run the can then shake it, repeating till the can remains warm when shaken. it ups the pressure and causes the paint to flow better. Tim
