  3. Some of you were fooled by several source in the internet that said that it is a Pontiac, but don't call this car a Pontiac. This car was sold from Pontiac/Buick dealer in Canada. The marque that they sold was Beaumont. To promote automobile manufacturing in Canada, the Auto Pact (APTA) in the 1960s had provisions prohibiting sales of certain American-made cars. General Motors responded by offering certain makes of cars manufactured in Canada primarily for the Canadian market such as Acadian and Beaumont. Arcadian were based on Chevrolet Chevy II were sold from 1962 - 1965 while Beaumont as a stand alone marque was sold from 1966 to 1969. They were based on the Chevrolet Chevelle with different taillights and Pontiac Tempest/LeMans/GTO interior and dash panel. The Beaumont logo was similar to the Pontiac logo. Instead of the Pontiac arrowhead motif it features two red maple leaves or fluer-de-lis. The following members identified the car as a 1968 Beaumont SD Pete J. 9. This weeks car is a Norwegian 1956 Troll 700. This car was build by Troll Plastik Bilindustri from 1956 - 1958. Body is glass fibre on a Gutbrod chassis with a 700 ccm 22 hp engine. The car hadn't a good start into production because they were allowed to build only 15 cars. The reason wasn't the design of the car as you think. No it was a barter treaty Norway had with the USSR and Eastern Europe to buy cars from them as they bought fish products from Norway. After 5 cars they went bankrupt and a Norwegian car was history. The correct answer were sent in by: porschercr Bucky dw1603 Congratulations

  14. I think this was a very hard one. Only 2 found the correct answer. I was looking for a Dacunha Jeg. In 1976 the Brazilian Army put out a call for a new general-purpose light military vehicle and VW Brazil decided to develop an all-new design, instead of starting with something like the Type 181. This vehicle was called VEMP and was planed as a 4x2 and 4x4. A few cars were build and tested, but the Brazilian army choose the Willys Jeep. Normally such a project ends , but not in this case. The company Dacunha build a VEMP clone called Jeg. About 500 Jeg including 1 4x4 Jeg build between 1976 and 1985. The correct answer were send in by dw1603 ChrisR Congratulations and well done.
