I wonder if the wheels are from one of the MPC GTO offerings. I think they also came with the '72.

This. Not a car, short run, 1/72 long out of production. Had resin cast landing gear with air bubbles so bad that half the struts aren't even there. Still glad I have it though, just working & hoping to find gear for it.

Super clean! So if you drilled out the headlights, what did you use for lenses? They look as good as any I've seen.

Previously there had been questions about the flared fenders so I'm reposting the technique.

This is a repost of one of the lost MCM threads from last week. Those who have commented previously, I thank you. You needn't oblige twice, I just want this back on here as a matter of record. Thanks. My entry in the 2014 Cannonball CBP. Wired engine, flared fenders, rebuilt oversize gas tank, shortened rear end with custom nose and tail.

The problems of the switchover jump up in our faces and completely obscure the successful effort and benefits of the switch itself. So glasses raised to Gregg for his vigilance, perseverance and patience.

Nothing against this forum, but I have to laugh that there's been some technical complication that's stirred up the finish of this CBP for all three years it's been over here. Fate. Maybe next year will be the charm. I'm glad you've got a handle on it Rob.

I wouldn't let skill level rattle you Dennis. Everybody brings to their projects what's inside themselves, and most are happy with that. There will always be better builders. But this is a way to be part of something that's shared, where seeing how each person interprets the "assignment" is half the fun.
