  1. Very nice work.
  2. Cooooool, I'm watching this build!
  3. Thanks for the comments. Well I saved it. I came really close to giving a brush coat of Future. I found an old (not very good) model I built in 1992 (paint was dull) so I brushed on some Future. I have to say this is probably the best clear coat I've seen with a brush application. Dodge Viper with brush coat Future: Well I didn't want to take the easy way out so I wet sanded the body last night and made sure I decanted enough clear coat. So tonight I hit again with another shot.(I need to get a better camera) I am really pleased with the results and have to say a thank you to Lonewolf15 for the advice of "quick mist coats", it takes awhile but the results are amazing.
  4. Nice work, got anymore pics of the 65 Mustang?
  5. Wow, looks like cloth, nice job.
  6. Nice work, what did you use on the seats?
  7. Well done.
  8. Not having the best of luck with this one. Everything was going great until I ran out of clear coat in my airbrush (Decanted Testors Wet Look Clear)so I thought I would just finish off the roof with the spray can, big mistake. The clear coat spattered out over the black paint, thankfully nothing hit the silver. I guess there was not enough pressure in the can to atomize the paint. Going to try and save this from another brake fluid bath. The silver turned out very well so I will wet sand the black and give it another try.
  9. Great tutorial, these types of tutorials need to get stickied. Thanks for the update.
  10. Are lacquers ok to lay on enamel? I did another spoon test. Put Testers One Coat Lacquer (wet look clear) over Testors gloss black enamel, wow the gloss is smooth and deep and that was just out of the can; can't wait to run it through an airbrush, sorry no pic its still drying.
  11. Awesome.
  12. Great work, like the side pipes.
  13. Great work!
  14. Made my own decals, I really like how they turned out. Just finished the dash. Still have to wire the engine(distributor is wired)and make some headers.
  15. Very nice, got anymore pics?
  16. Very nice builds, I'm finding the 32 to be very addictive.
  17. I thought at first your refernece pic was a model, lol. Nice work
  18. Deceiving low angle shot, but Im going with real.
  19. Finally found a carpet I like, I am not a fan of flocking (too much work for mediocre results) The carpet is from a watch case (one of my wife's she doesn't know), it still had the adhesive on when I peeled it off the casing, stuck it on and trimmed. The seats are out of a Maisto 1/24 Cobra, I just filled a hole and did two tone paint. Aluminum tape for sealing duct work was used for the floor tunnel and interior back, used a scotch brite pad to dull the finish. (theres an oxymoron) I did a flat black under coating on the white door panels to try and give an older appearance.
  20. Thanks, I wasn't too fond of the Impala wheels either but I wanted to run a skinny tire up front, I was looking through my old model boxes as I keep the spare parts in the original box looking for a gas cap an ran across these, I was glad when I saw they were a perfect match. I'm not too sure if I will do white walls. I white walled one of the rears when I still had the Impala wheels on and I didn't care for the look (looked better in photoshop). I will try again with the new front tires but I'm undecided on whether it will stay.
  21. Progressing slowly; got the windows in, tinted the back and sides (used window tint). I found a set of front wheels from the 68 Cobra Jet, they were a perfect match, I only had to drill the back of the rims out to bring them in closer.
  22. What is the frame made out of, sheet metal?
