  1. Yes indeed this is the Linberg 3-in-1 kit and infact it is the first Lindberg model kit I have built. Thanks for the kind words guys
  2. Wow all of these are awesome....I really like the weathering on the first. I saw a old ford powered sprint car at my local hobby shop probably from the 80's or 90's. I cant remember the driver or the model kit brand though. I think I'm going to have to get it now. Thanks for sharing cant wait to see more.
  3. Hello everyone. Managed to get some paint on a few items. The frame is black metallic along with the axle and rear end. I have the motor almost painted and I still have fuel lines and spark plug wires. I did get the brass knuckle shifter and bug catcher for the carb made......still have the headers to make. Wheels have been shot in fifties aqua and I'm loving the color. Still sanding away on the cab and bed......

    More Models

That trailer is awesome and I want one. What is this giant parking lot diorama you have...it looks really cool. Thanks for sharing the pictures
  5. Ha I was going to say that your allowed to use another color besides flat black for your finish I'm just poking I actually like the flat black on this cars wide fenders. I love this body style Subaru..I lowered one on coilovers last year and boy was the test drive fun. I think your model looks really clean and I dig that stand its on. I only suggest that you paint those bolts on top of the strut as well as the battery hold down with some testor's silver or any color you fancy. I realize on a 1:1 car they might be black and dirty ,but they definitely add to a otherwise "boring" spot on a model.
  6. I really like the color you went with and I might drag mine out of the glass case and add the blue dot on the tail lights....awesome touch. You managed to wire the motor and lower the rear a bit more which are two things I wanted to do ,but rushed past. Great job on a great kit!
  7. John you are truly a master at what you do. I just don't understand how you produce such awesome stuff in such a short amount of time. I know you motivate the heck out of me and I thank you. Loved the 1:1 car and I love your finished "park shots". Keep 'em coming John we love your work.
  8. Holy cow this is a absolutely beautiful model. I'm not even really interested about a stock '53 Victoria honestly, but seeing a model built so cleanly and so much attention to detail shows that the subject matter sometimes does not mater lol. So many details ,but some of my favorite are the dipstick and the rolled down window with chrome trim. I also like your painting methods(with the sticks and foam holders) it really pays in the end and this model shows. Again awesome job and thanks for sharing.
  9. I'm going with the kit supplied flathead. Its going to be a basically stock motor with a few scratch built parts. Ha its definitely low enough....guess your not getting much in the bed of this truck Thanks again for looking
  10. Started this one last wednesday and I'm moving right along. Pretty much letting my blade do the work.Still quite a lot of work to be done but the plan on color being fifties aqua and the frame in gloss black. Thanks for looking
  11. You did a awesome job on this one Dave your out doing yourself with every build my friend. I love the wild paint job...it definitely suits this car. I also like the gold components throughout, ties in well with the body. I think that motor Is my favorite part...excellent job.
  12. Not a lot of love on this site for the foreign metal ,but I sure as heck like it. You did a really nice job on this kit and I love the details. Its great how you scratch built the front so you could fit the wheels in there. Really like how you go all out....and on something a little different than what most are building. Keep it up and keep sharing.
  13. ###### you do not mess around John. Those decals look really really good and I applaud the maker. I cant get enough of your builds and this one is coming out awesome.
  14. Wow this thing came out nice. Looks like your pretty well gifted if this is only your third build. That's great your boys want a model like daddy ,but I can see how that might conflict with you actually being able to buy one for yourself Great job on the build and I cant wait to see more.
  15. I think your doing a awesome job so far and your better than me with them decals. If I could suggest only one thing to you it would be to keep any parts not being worked on under some sort of case. I just use the 8$ plastic display cases ,but It keeps all that dust off your model and really pays In the end. keep up the good work and share the final results.
  16. Very nice Andraz. Looks like you did a fantastic job on the whole kit and I would have to agree that it will look killer sitting on the shelf.
  17. Wow John this thing is truly a work of art. I have that issue and you are doing the 1:1 justice for sure. Please feed Eyegore John he needs candy
  18. I love these kits, I wish they still made them. You did a really nice job on that one.

    1936 Ford

Uh Paul I think It worked out pretty well bud. That is a beautiful model and I love the colors you went with. I panicked and had to check out the instructions on my AMT '36 Ford. Lucky the interior goes in from the bottom because I to have to make a convertible a coupe with some bodywork. Thanks for sharing and great job.
  20. Rob this thing looks awesome....one of my favorite things is your scratch built compressor with sticker. You did a great job on the whole kit ,but I keep scrolling back up to see that trailer and parts. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Thanks guys I would have to agree with you Ken on the skirts...they were simply to show what the kit came with. The smooth hood and no skirts is the way she is staying. Also was not a huge fan of the hubs that came on this kit.....they were just to big and did not show enough of the painted steel wheel for me. The whole time I had planned to do the hub caps and skirts as well as the spotlights on the cowl for more of a custom look, but as things came together I liked it more simple and hot rod. I will certainly be buying another one and spending a little more time on it. Already got my colors.....dark green metallic outside and white on the interior. Thanks again for the kind words everyone
  22. Thanks guys sure means a lot coming from all of you. Rob I didn't really have any build issues with the kit...I was not super thrilled with the 2pc frame ,but in order to get the exhaust threw the frame that's how it has to be done. My frame just seemed to be warped and kept popping apart.. There are many ways to fix this correctly ,but I choose the more super glue method haha. I loved that this model had tons of different options such as grilles and fender skirts. Here I used the louvered hood and mocked up the skirts just for fun. There were also hubcaps and spotlights for a period correct custom. Thanks again everyone
  23. Gee whiz the hospitality on this site is awesome....I love how everyone is positive and feeds off each other. Thanks guys and while I'm certainly happy with this model kit I'm not a two week builder I realize patience and detail are really where its at for me and I skipped every bit of that on this car. The first round of paint went horrific and I had to easy off and start over. This color fought me the whole way(again because of rushing) ,but wow Is it perfect or what. It really pops in the sun. Cranky and Niko you two see exactly what I intended to build and that is very rewarding. I got bit by the hot rod fever and I'm getting a bad case of the sweats fellas. Thanks again everyone for the comments
  24. The plan with this model was to build it in one weekend...I found that impossible for myself. It took me two weeks and there are many areas I rushed on and or messed up. I will never try this again Color is Boyds dusty rose pearl.
