See that is why this forum is the best..everyone has insightful opinions and more importantly they know how to express them respectfully. I have never messed with die-cast, but I think Mark makes a great point....I mean once completely broke down It is as much of a model kit as the all the ones I buy sealed up at the LHS. I fell like the point here is that if something is being judged by a person lacking knowledge on that subject how can that work.. I have a keen eye and think I would do awesome judging a plastic model kit, but If you showed me the finished product of that ferrari and told me it was die-cast I would have to ask you what you changed..I just would have no clue. Honestly it seems that you should definitely realize the level of your skills and know that these comments were made out of lack of knowledge...that is how the majority of us humans put our foot's in our mouths. Looking forward to seeing some more of your work.

Picked up the Tom "the Mongoose" McEwin rear engine dragster today and a can of clear lacquer. I like that Hudson stock car above

Another awesome looking piece from you. I am really glad your "not so good kits" look, well so good haha I like the subjects you build and the cleanness. Thanks for sharing all your work..past and present.

Simply put you are to good...consider it one of the biggest compliments one could ever receive. You did such a outstanding job they had no clue that it did not come from the toy company that way. They probably thought you added a few details to the engine, maybe painted a few things and polished the paint. I think It looks rad and I would be really proud of it.

Looks awesome..I am a sucker for Porsche's. Is this the fujimi/testors kit? I have one and it looks the same minus the fender lights. Thanks for sharing.

Guy this thing came out perfect. This is probably the coolest beetle I have seen built. You really nailed the stance...those back wheels have to be cambered out like they are and the fronts have to be tucked in and straight. Everything about it is cool, but I really like those bungee's and the brass roof rack. Have any shots of the engine...I know its just a little boring air cooled, but I would like to see it. Awesome job and thanks for finishing it up fast so we could all enjoy it.

Try the little flower icon if your camera has one. The technical term is macro ,but it focuses in on close things without the blur. It will show every dust speck, but the picture will be clear. I like the rat decal and for some reason free always makes for better projects This thing looks killer.

Sweet I was one that wanted to see more pictures of this....Thanks. Did you paint that rat on the back..? Looks awesome. Do you recall what orange that is?

Fiat Topolino '60s Altered & Finished Slingshot Dragster
krazyglu replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I got the regular box version and you can only build two cars with it....the Fiat and either style dragster. With the tin version I believe that you can build all three cars. There is also colored glass in the tin version and possibly a slightly different wheel variation. I would spend the extra money and go with the tin can version. I really loved this kit and watching old videos and researching was really fun. On YouTube there is a video titled "Ingenuity in Action" (1958). It is really cool and I watched it several times during my build. -
Dang Ron I like them all plus the pic's get large when you click on them. That '57 with matching slot car is cool and i always love those VW's, but that surf Woody is really cool. The bikini top hanging from the mirror is so awesome that I might steal that idea someday. How did you make it? Good kit building year for you Ron.

Whoa I love that midget. Can you make the pictures larger..these are definitely worthy of a closer view. I really want to see that truck and midget combo.....I love that blue and the text on the side of the truck looks awesome. Also would love to see more pictures of that Lab Rat. Great job Ron and I hope to see more of these.

Wow Jim I guess i didn't need to wait at all, but simply scroll down . I think this is my favorite kit of any I have seen you share. You did a outstanding job on the fogging and it sets the tone for this build. Awesome awesome paint Jim and I know that is your thing. As mentioned above the grille is wicked and I like those hub's.
-
Glad you got it done Brian..though I was certain you could handle it no problem. Believe it or not I love that color. The artistic me really loves all shades and I don't feel like any color is gender oriented. That being said I probably wouldn't paint my Viper that color ,but It still looks like a well executed paint job. I am pretty positive she is going to love it.
-
Like it...uh no more like love it Jorge. This thing is awesome and all your mod's look the part. Really like those hub caps...believe there sombreros, but I am still learning I love the color also....what is it? You really did a great job on this sled. I keep scrolling up to look again.

Really like this one Jim. Quite a funky looking interior...well the seats have a different design anyway. Yeah I really like everything about this one..mostly the kandy magenta. Do you use a air brush or aerosol....just curious. Thanks for sharing and I am waiting patiently to see the other

The whole deal with "the falling off wheels" is simply the style or fitment that is wanted with these guys. They want huge dished wheels that quite frankly should not be fitted on these vehicles. In order to clear the fenders and not rub the tire they tweak the camber. They also "stretch" the tire over the rim so the side wall will clear the fender as the suspension travels. Basically what looks broken to some is a look that is not only desirable, but not real easy to achieve without a lot of modifications to the suspension and body panels.
-
Thanks for the idea on the tires Frank.....sometimes obvious things are well not so obvious to all of us I keep forgetting there are no rules to this model kit stuff. Don't you dare tease us and say you might post another "stanced" ride. I want to see it for sure! Also meant to tell you I liked the little video, just something different you don't see done often. Again killer job Frank...I love this one p.s Here is a pic. of my stance....I think you did the look justice

Not a Batmobile or any super hero car kind of guy either, but I think this is the finest example I have seen built. 45 years is almost twice my age ...that is a long time.

Yeah that looks awesome. I like your two tone interior...looks nice with the detailing. I enjoy wheel fitment and stance in full scale and you really nailed the look here. Great job on the trunk and scratched longboards. That is a nice touch on a area I would have overlooked. I was wondering on the tires to achieve the stretched look did you just sand the sidewalls? Also like the barrels you added to the wheels....dish looks great on these sedan's. Thanks for sharing this one.

Lifted 79 F350 Crew Cab
krazyglu replied to 01blueedge's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Now this is a awesome looking model kit. I would be proud to have that in my collection. I just love older trucks and one sitting like this is even cooler. Where did those big tire's come from? You should take some more pictures Josh...block the background light and try to move in a little closer. I am really loving this one. Great job. -
Dude Dominik don't get angry, but this is one of my favorite kit's I have seen from you. This thing looks the part my friend. Any imperfection's or flaws only add the feel. I really like this one and thanks for some inspiration.

This thing is awesome! I am not sure if your camera has a little icon that looks like the flower, but that allows you to focus in on tiny things with no blur. I really enjoy your bike builds and this one is looking extra wicked. I like old, new, american and foreign...two wheels or four. No one on this site is going to judge what you build...only commend and applaud your skills Erik. Keep updating for sure!

GMC " Fall Guy "
krazyglu replied to plastiktruck's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That is so cool looking. I have recently got into RC rock crawler's and this would make a really cool body for one. Did the front bumper and winch come on the transkit? You really did a great job on this....I love these old lifted trucks -
What a awesome collection you have there. Hard to tell my favorite, but I think mine are the Detroit Tiger funny car and the Kelly Chadwick pro stocker. I really like those '80's Nascar's though. My aunt and uncle live in High Point North Carolina. I visited last year....beautiful place. Thanks for sharing and please keep building
