  1. Not my wife's but my daughter's builds. Trophy winners both of them.
  2. Recently finished a deal with Route66modeler. Stuff arrived fast, and in tact. I will deal with him again, when he gets some HO stuff.
  3. You might also check Hobby Lobby, and Michael's for colors. They also have different brands. Most of my paints are like these, but then I do diorama's.
  4. In our contests here the members were not allowed to enter. We had a separate category for them with a peoples choice type award. Or the entire contest could be held that way. One vote per entrant, with a peoples choice. In the contests where the host club members were entered, they judged categories that they did not have a model in. Like a car guy doing military, and vice versa, with a separate award for the club members. For 10 tears I sponsored and ran a contest with a local car club here. I got guest judges who were knowledgeable in cars to do the judging. The host club with the show, would pick out their favorite from all of the entries for their award.
  5. Nicely done I had a kit of one in G scale. You can find lots of items here. http://www.printmini.com/ Click on the scale you want. Lots of stuff.
  6. Speaking of Roach Coach's any one remember this one. I had the honor of helping push it into the auditorium for a car show many years ago.
  7. This is what I did on this one.
  8. Tony I did do that, it just got washed out a bit. Thanks Vaughn it was fun. More to come yet have 8 more buildings for the block.
  9. I had a customer that I delivered to that run a plumbing supply outfit, his trucks had a saying. In our business a Flush beats a Full House.
  10. Well you can put a fork in this building as it's done. A few things to landscape around it yet, when the rest are done. But Im calling this one finished. Rear step from channel Let there be light. Upcoming concert. Do you have your tickets?
  11. Looking good.
  12. My haul from Christmas 4 years ago is above. Here is a oldie it's from Barclay. Original price was $.69, and came with 2 cars. Now the rig(tractor -trailer go for $75.00, and the cars are up to $10.00 each. I have 15 cars, and 2 rigs. My oldest vehicle I own is this one. Belonged to my Dad, he got it in 1929 for Christmas. It's not a HW, but thought I'd share. Finally my favorite, a beer truck.
  13. My first HW the copper 36, and a redo from a later issue. Still have both.
  14. When I met my current wife of 27 years now, I had over 7,000 HW's, Matchbox, and other assorted diecast cars. Also 3,500 model car kits. A few years back I decided to down size my collection, and each of my great nieces, and nephews got a carring case of 48 cars each for Christmas. Guess who the favorite uncle was then. Sold a bunch more last summer, now only have maybe 200 or so left. I pick up new ones only if they are exciting subjects. Here are a few pics though from my collection yet.
  15. Tony loving the look of this one. I will be watching. Also the Ford is sweet. junior
  16. Wayne Dad was a cop here in Fargo for 33 years before he retired. He was a Sgt. That pic was he walked the beat downtown on skid row.
  17. Finally got back to it again. Made some air vents using self tapping sheet metal screws. Next I cleaned up the lighting problem with aluminum tube, and some sequins. And finally hung some window curtains.
  18. Yep that's him He said he liked my boots. They are western style with FLAMES. Yeah the car still resides today.
