  1. Harry I sent you a PM.
  2. Harry I believe it's called Thule. It's wedding veil material. You can get it at Hobby Lobby, or Micheal's, or any sewing shop.
  3. The old model club I belonged to one night had a safety seminar for new builders. I gave a talk about X-Acto knives, and how to be careful. Long story short at the next months meeting I showed up with left index bandaged with 4 stitches. New blade in the knife.
  4. the best is yet to come. Like HJ the voices are getting louder. SNAP KRACKLE POP!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. My avatar says it all. I do whatever my Rice Krispies tell me to.
  6. Tony if you look to the right, and left of the main door they is 2 smaller doors. Just haven't gotten to the steps yet.
  7. Don't forget to put in steps, or a access to the lounge area above. Looks like a good start.
  8. It's HO 1/87th. the Merc is a Hot Wheels, and the Reaper figure came from Prieser. Don't know who made the building I bought as is.
  9. Been sloshing this one around for awhile. What do you think?? As if I don't have enough projects going on!!!!!!!
  10. Finished some more on this one. Here are the 2nd floor offices. Thinking of adding a canopy. Some of the art work that will be on display.
  11. Started another building for the neighborhood, this one will be a Art Gallery.Got the main walls in on the first floor, and got the second floor glued in, and leveled. Then I started thing the inde of the roof I keep forgetting to detail. So I cleaned up the sides, and cut some brick shhet to do the inside of the walls. Next it was onto the roof . I wanted something that wouldn't warp with time, so used another 1/8th piece of plexi-glass. It's actually level. Had to retrim the back just a hair, and then will add a 1/2 round piece to the edge. Got to go to the LHS for more stock. Finally tried out the lighting on the second floor, this is with only 2 bulbs, there will be 4-5 total when done. On the second floor I will be doing smaller rooms, 1-2 just as a point of interest. I have a few thoughts floating around in my head, but open to suggestions.
  12. I'm amazed at how many forget valve stems. How do they get are in the tires. If you don't want to wire an engine(hood glued shut/curbside model) no big deal. But people will notice things that should be seen at first glance. many years ago in contests there was one guy who always. Finally the judges explained he was the only one who added a lower radiator hose to his build. Needless to say most of the kits back then didn't have them so they were not added. So basically it just depends on how much detail you want to add.
  13. That is not always the case. I worked in a hobby/craft shop back in the 80's. One day I received a phone call from a irate customer about our night shift employee, I asked her to come in and discuss it. she told me how he had a couple of his friends there, and they, and himself were very rude, and obnoxious when she asked for help. I told her that the problem would be addressed, and hoped she would return again. She was a good customer, and always placed a big order. I talked to the manager, who was also the owner. Next day, at the end of my shift, when the other guy come on duty, the boss showed up. 15 minutes later, the employee in question was history. Later on I found out he went to work for the other hobby shop in town, and I warned the owner about him. He lasted about 2 months there before they got fed up with his antic's also. So sometimes it will happen.
  14. There is a glue called Aileen's Tacky Glue its for crafts. Nice thing is it's like Elmers only thicker. Also it comes in a clear version. Works great for windows. You should be able to locate it in the craft dept. of any store that carries crafts.
  15. Tony that looks great. Nice job. I'll be watching to see how it progresses.
  16. Yes thank you.
  17. Harry is the model selling site back up yet, and could you provide a link? Thanks. Junior
  18. Yeah use basswood for the crates. For the oranges check out the bead dept. of your local craft store. A 3-5mm bead should work. Lots of times you may even find the color your need, or get some white pearls, and paint them.

I like the Corvette hanging in the rafters. Good start.
  20. That is what I would do also. Or you could trim the inside of the tire if need be.
  21. All of them are here; http://s8.photobucke...51/My%20Models/ Can paint Air Brush
  22. Yeah I had the same idea for them. I have 20-30 sets. Never did get around to it though.
  23. I remember getting them for $1.49-2.00. Paint was 10cents, and glue was 15.
  24. Mine also was the Aluma Coupe kit. It met a 2 lb. hammer. I did save the wheels, and tires though used them on a 65 Riv. Fireworks, and lighter fluid make for great 1/25th scale accidents.
