  1. These are only about 5-6 in's. tall The Aurora kits were closer to 1/8th scale. I have the reissue of the Hunchback, and the Witch.
  2. Got the trim done. Also got the elevator added. This is the hall to the elevator, and the door that will be for it. Then I started on the offices for the second floor. Still have 2 yet to do.
  3. Dan greqat pics of the show, thanks for sharing. Lots of neat stuff. Doc I did see a few dioramas. The big one must've covered 4 tables.
  4. Got the interior done. The crowd is meandering around checking out the new ART. Could that be a young Dr. Cranky meeting the artist? How about some lighted shots.
  5. Now I know where Jimmy Hoffa is.
  6. The 49 Ford on the trailer is also a 1/25th scale Hot Wheel. Also came with a 1/64th scale.
  7. I would recommend VHT primer. This stuff is used for painting headers. Never had any problem with it, shot, and laid down smooth. Couple of light coats , and any paint you use should be good. Do the spoon test though first just to be sure.
  8. I may have you beat. Got 8 builds going on right now.
  9. Picked up some detail items for the shop. Possible shop truck. Or maybe this one.
  10. Picked up a bunch of goodies today. The 3 building kits I got for $4.95 ea.
  11. Yeah I used to be in the Duluth area once a week, used to have a route that delivered motor oil and parts there. Nasty place to drive semi in the winter with all the hills. I remember one time in June driving through Wisc. all four seasons within in a 20 mile stretch of road. Went from 75 deg. to a rain storm, then a blizzard, then back to spring summer. We get the local paper because my wife works for a insurance comp. and she checks the obits to find any clients that have kicked. Also my niece is a photographer for the local paper. Me I like to read the crazy editorials ( makes me feel sane), and I like the comics, and crossword. Most of my news I get on the radio when I'm driving.
  12. In response to the Doc's salt technique, besides cars, you can also use it on buildings.
  13. Made a new garage door using twist ties to give it a corrugated look. Just needs some weathering now when I get it all done. Also cut the floor, and started the office area. This will be the only part seen through the windows. Then I decided to open up the front door. This will be ajar as if they are either opening, or closing the shop.
  14. Tony this is getting better all of the time. Even though they wont show, the roof trusses are a nice touch. At least the roof wont sag.
  15. I have all of the rest of them yet to build, just haven't gotten to them yet.
  16. Here's a piece from our loacl paper a few years ago. Now it's like a gossip rag, Only good thing is the crossword, and the comics.
  17. Didn't screw it up to badly but just enough to have to do this. Or the alternative.
  18. Here are a couple I did. Used acrylic paints.
  19. Got the main floor done, and some of the artwork mounted.
  20. Chris I have something like that in mind.
  21. Junior; You gotta come back and ride the ZIP line under the canopy. If I weere still young and insane I'd give it a go. Much safer than hanging off the top edge of the Stratosphere. I'm not that young that I'd care to ride thew zip line. Also didn't do the Stratosphere coaster either. I have a little condition called Chickenitus. Also known as acrophobia. I go to a musemnet parks and ride the merry go round. That's enough excitement for me.
  22. Got these today in a trade. Plus a load of other stuff. The auto/cycle repair shop I already have plans for.
  23. Contact Ed Shaver he is the gas station guru here. Here are a couple I did in in 1/87th. The first is from a Jarius Watson print. This one I redid from a built kit, also 1/87th.
