  1. Anton is that the one in the basement, with the big train layout?
  2. Rob the only shop really here is in Moorhead on US 10 at the Easten Mall. Hobby Hut is the name of it. He has a fairly good supply of stuff. Also there are 2 RC shops in town one for planes only, Paul's Hobbies on 1st ave. north. and one for cars and such out on So. University Drive. For your compressor I would suggest Harbor Freight on Mani Ave. Get off I-29 at exit 65 Main Ave. Go East about 1 mile or less, will be on the left side of the road after the Nodak, Napa stores. We also have a Michael's, and a Hobby Lobby on 13th Ave So.
  3. I have the Bates Mansion kit, and needed a part replaced. I placed the order for it, as per instructions and 3 weeks later new part arrives. Great Service from them.
  4. Finished this one this weekend. Just a few things to touch up.
  5. Elk is good, also buffalo. Rattlesnake is a bit tougher though. All of them rib bones. And yes it tastes like chicken.
  6. Done edited the title. I can't tell what year these newer cars are.
  7. I remember reading in one of those old issues a young fellow named Mark G. was complaining about the Amt 58 Chevy kit with the opening doors. I think Hank Borger should be included, as his AWB cars were a big hit back then.
  8. I built this one for a friend of mine for her birthday in a couple of weeks. I asked her what type of classic car she liked, and said Mustang. Red on Red. The carnation on the front seat is from her favorite song. White Sportcoat and a Pink Carnation.
  9. When I solder brass I use a silver solder. You can get it at Radio Shack.
  10. I know many of you are in the grips of a nasty heat wave across the country with temps in the triple digits. We have it here also in N. Dak but not like some of you guys. So just thought I'd remind everyone to take it easy out there, and stay hydrated. Drink lots of water, and take a break when you need it. Heat stress is no fun. I know from experience.
  11. Dropped my X-Acto in my lap one night. Toooooooooooo darn close for comfort!!!!!!!!!!! Now I wear a shop apron.
  12. I've always been a traditionalist.
  13. Seven with the help of my Mother. My first model my Dad built for me before I was 1 YO. Still have it. It was the only model he ever built.
  14. These are the guys I mentioned. You wont find a nicer bunch than them, great fellas.
  15. Contact the MCCM Club, or the RPM club in Mpls. Scale Model Supply is St.Paul should be able to get you the club contact info.
  16. Go for it. I do this also once a year when I go to the NNL North. I hit the shops in Mpls./St.Paul, and get stuff I cant get here locally.
  17. Latest project from the lake front shop.
  18. I wonder if the original is at the Garlits Museum. I took these pics while in Fla. 2-3 years ago.
  19. . Thanks guys That was the look I wanted to achieve.
  20. Tony your critique was well received. I wasn't sure of the door graphics myself, but they do grow on you. As you pointed out it was a Funeral Parlor at one time. Now though you can hear the GRATEFUL DEAD, and STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN being played. :D JKust wait till you see the delivery vehicle for the store.
  21. Doing some tinkering with widow treatments on the Music Store. What do you think? I did the main door in Gold Bare-Metal foil.
  22. The kit does come with a figure of Mama. However I was thinking something like this maybe.
