  1. Got some color on the frame, and tank. HOK Lime Green Pearl.
  2. Besides building the Kookie T, Norm starred in a load of old Disney Movies. I got the life magazine with him on the cover, I'll have to scan it, and the article.
  3. Looking good. For the floor, why not use wood. Cut a sheet of 1/4" plywood to size, and paint it. Or you could cut strips of basswood,or balsa, and make a wood floor. Another possibility would be masonite. This is generally only 1/8th in. thick.
  4. Paint was a dime, also glue. Paint brushes were 5 cents, and kits cost from 39 cents - two bucks. Spray paints were 59 cents.
  5. Yep it's from Model Power if I remember right. I had one already then I found the Corvette. That was 3 years ago, been brewing in my head since then. Finally decided to take some action on it. Next years theme for the NNL North is Corvettes. So might as well get one ready. Thanks Sam. It may even become part of Mr Rogers neighborhood dio.
  6. Here's one I just did using Testor's Clear. I didn't use the rallye stripes though.
  7. Brandon try the Rust All kit. I did on this one, very easy to use.
  8. Hadn't planned on the reaction I got from the paint but it's great. I used some Fleck It paint to simulate granite.
  9. My deepest condolences to you and yours. I too have a daughter, and a son. Wouldn't know what to do if that happened. Just remember all of the good times you spent together.
  10. I retire my entries before the next years original show. Doesn't matter if I placed or not.
  11. When I bought this engine it was in the Cotton Belt livery colors. Repainted to Great Northern scheme. Eventually it will be incorporated into a dio. It is a dummy engine( non powered).
  12. Got to agree also with these guys. I had the kit, lots of nice details, you'll have a load of gluing to do, about 50 oil cans in 2 pieces. Check out Chris's stuff. first class.
  13. Danny was correct in his guess. Progress made this weekend on DMC. The paint ate into the styro foam giving the effects shown. I think it turned out great. Now I have to add some color variations, some sand, foliage, pave the road, and a few minor things and it will be done. It will be a dio of Jan and Deans song Deadman's Curve.
  14. Got a good portion of the bike built this weekend. Primer is done, lots of sub-assemblies are done. Paint color will be HOK Green. He used to own a bar called T's Shamrock, so with this in mind I found these buttons, that are the right size for replacing a couple of the kit pieces. I put this one on the Belt Drive cover instead of the Maltese Cross emblem. I thought it gives it a more personal touch to the build.
  15. That's part of it.
  16. It's for a contest next June. Any thoughts of what it may be??????????
  17. 1/87th HO scale.
  18. Whats he up to now??????????
  19. I have been asked to build a bike kit for another auction. This one will be for the guy who was manager of the Vets Club in Casselton. He passed away a month ago at the age of 38. Leaves a wife, and 2 kids. Here is the kit I will be ising. I haven't built a bike kit in 30 tears so this should be interesting.
  20. AMT double dragster stuff, maybe some Tommy Ivo parts also. The one roadster body is the 22 JR body.
  21. A while back the subject of old Matchbox, and Hot Wheel cars was discussed Here are pics of the ones I have from the late 50's, early 60"s that are now worth close to $2500-3000, according to the collector book.
  22. Nicely done. Your bed in the truck reminds me of this one.
  23. A friend of mine recently went on vacation, when he came home they had cleaned out his entire house. They parked in the garage, shut the door, and took their time going through everything. Lost about 50K worth of stuff. I had my semi tractor broke into once took my radio, and some clothes, left all of the good music though.
  24. A while back I posted about a car I needed built for a auction for a Cancer Benefit. I am pleased to report it went well. Once again I would like to thank Lee Loggins for the excellent job he did on the Jeff Gordon car. I am pleased to announce that it brought in a high bid of $110.00 for it. Bidding got rather spirited in the last 15 min's. of the silent auction, with the action between 3 bidders. We had 25 teams for the golf tournament, and over 100 items on the silent auction. In my estimate we raised $12-15,000.00. Here's a pic of the car.
