I didn't go too crazy wit the interior because I don't think it will be able to be seen with the body on the car. WF
-
I picked that body up so long ago at NNL East. Sorry, but I have no recollection of who made it. It is very nicely cast. You would swear that it is styrene. WF

Such a cool car! I have no idea how many of those kits that I've scavenged parts from. Strangely, I have never built the intended version.

Amazing replica! This truly needs to be put in a museum!

Everything looks very well done. I did notice that the exhaust manifolds that you are using are for a 440 or 383. The exhaust ports on a HEMI are not paired on the middle cylinders.

I meant to say that notifications show comments from other members

Yes, but my notifications show that there have been numerous, replies that don’t show up in the thread. WF

That is a good lookin' car! If realism is what we are after ... you nailed it.

My notifications show that there are at least 8 replies to this topic. For reasons unknown to me, I can not see them. They are not showing up when I access this thread. Sorry if I do not reply. Anyone know why this may be? I only see comments from Muncie and deuces wild from yesterday.

The '33 Willys chassis fits the resin body perfectly!

Sometimes you just look at a part or parts and think "I can make something out of that!" That's pretty much what happened here. Resin body of unknown origin, some cool mags, a chassis and some engine parts. First mock up

Paintwork is terrific!

Thanks for all the comments! I guess I’ll post more often.?

Frame connectors and ladder bars were copied from the photos

I was not uncommon for Mopar racers to deepen the oil pan and install a tie rod tube. Sox & Martin sold them over the counter. I had a magazine article on this car and I copied the oil pan and rear suspension. The article stated that the car used a Ford toploader transmission. That's a Ford transmission in there!

I did actually move the axles forward a bit! check how close the front tires are to the fender edge in the oil pan picture. Rear tires are just about touching the rear 1/4 panel. It wasn't easy figuring out 2% in 1/25 scale! ?

I agree. The wheels make it stand out in a crowd!

Best rendition of this kit that I have seen so far! Very nice.
