Color looks good Scott, I’m jealous your making great progress! Seats look great, really turning out nice! -
Looking good Bob!

That’s beautiful Jason, I’m very glad you finished this build. Very well done!

Looking great Bob!

I thought for sure I would have a tach like that in my stash, but so far I haven’t found it. It may not be too hard to scratch build it.

These cars changed weekly, I try to pick my favorite version and replicate that car. Interior photos seem to be the hardest to find. I haven’t researched Reid’s Duster to speak definitely about the interior, I have never seen the Solar seats in any other color than black, and made that assumption. It’s really interesting when you start to research a project. -

According to Herb McCandless video, when they built the Demon, the removed the torsion bars and replaced the front shocks with coil overs. Since it started out as a Sox and Martin build I would assume it would have been built the same. The then added front steer rack and pinion. You can see the front suspension in the the photo behind Herb. -
Great work Terry, your really making progress !

Wow Scott, that first photo answered a huge question for me as I haven’t been able to decide how to attach the front of the ladder bars on my BTK build. The car is beautiful and the paint was really done well. I’m sure you will do it justice. -

A couple things, reasons I don’t like restored cars, no Lenco Transmission in 72, if he continued to run the car into 74-74, then perhaps this would be accurate. Second I don’t think the seats would have been Tan. Tire size is important in getting the right look on a model, so I try and take photos of the tire size. These 14x32s were old and dry rotted a little. The 14x32s came out in late 72 so it’s probably correct. -

I’ve been waiting for this one Scott! I’m glad your sharing the build on the forum. I was at the Hot Rod Reunion last year and the restored car was there, I clicked off a few photos. Unfortunately I did not take one of the rear suspension, I probably got distracted as there was a lot going on. I hope these help. -
Looks beautiful! Great build!

Great work, really well done!

That came out great Scott! I’m gonna have to buy a couple Pro Street Nova’s for chassis’s. Very clean build !

That looks great! Very nicely done!

Very cool build!

I thought I’d share my build for a little inspiration Bob. It can be built, I built this in 1989, my first time using Testors Metalizer on the wheels, they have dulled down with age, and the front axle has started to sag, I’m sure you noticed how thin it is. I’m looking forward to seeing yours, you always make them look great!

Wow Terry, amazing work so far! I love your shocks! I’d like to know a little more about their construction. This is going to be cool!

I’ve learned a lot on this one! As with most of my builds they start out seeming much easier and simpler in the beginning. I think I’m past the big hurdles now. Terry, I’ll have a place for you to stay when you come to the ACME show in October.

Thanks Edgar, it’s not quite an 1/8 inch difference but it’s a lot in 1/25 scale.
