Comfort Models, Ya Have One?
dragcarz replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd have to go with AMT 55 Chevys, both sedan and Nomad. The 65 Chevelle Wagon, and the 67-68 Camaros. I can't seem to stop buying these kits. I also have to include Revell 70s Funny car kit. -

I usually don't visit here, I don't know why. Outstanding work. -
Great job, takes me back to the late 70s early 80s. Very well done!

Very nice, I remember seeing this car run at Gateway many years ago. Great job!

It works!

For the most part the kit is unchanged. The slicks are now pad printed. The decals in my opinion are much better than the earlier issues. Much sharper register and detail. The cool thin included with the issue is the display of Gainesville drag strip. Hope this helps.

Wow, I love this! I love sportsman racing and really miss the Modified class. Great work on the tunnel ram. There is a large void in the model car world where these are concerned. Can I get some more details on that distributor? I'm in,and I will be following!

Great job Roger. I've had builds where I didn't like it at all when I finished it. I put it in the display case and move on. Funny thing is, a month or two will go by and I'll glance over at it and I think to my self, that's not so bad, matter of fact it came out pretty good. -
Looks great, I love the color.

I was revisiting this post, probably my favorite, and nothing's been added since Nov. 2014. I know some new Drag Cars have been built since then and was thinking maybe it could be brought back to life. I'll start with these.

Looks great David. There not easy to build when new, it had to be a bear to rebuild.

68 Blue Stang ~ Street/Strip

Looks great. I also like the stock hood on this mustang. You probably need to build a more modern mustang to go under that cowl hood. Great wok on the cowl hood by the way. -
There were no holes in the trunk. Just glued on. I had the same thought on the chassis. I removed the fuel tank from the original chassis. I need to read the rule book, and do some research.
