  2. Thanks Jeff, any shots with the body off?
  3. Did you use the Winged Express chassis or did you make one?
  4. Great start, I'm very impressed with the new scribed lines on the rear doors. How did you do those?
  5. WOW that's nice! If you notice my avatar I'm an altered fan! Crewed for AA/FA for several years, then an Alcohol Funny , Alcohol Dragster, and one year on AA / FD in the eighty's. It's a lot of work . I wasn't a show up on Sunday guy, I worked on the car every night that was needed. Is it summer there?
  6. That's supposed to be your car. I don't know where dad came from.
  7. Thanks, it coming along. Looks good. Is the car in the avatar your dads car?
  8. Hey Aaron, any progress ?????
  9. Hi James, thought I might show you what I did on two of my Vega Funny Cars. Maybe this will help with your ride height correction. I think the Revell Funny Cars are 1/24th scale, not 1/25th as advertised. I don't care for the two piece silks that come with the original kit, so on the Barry Setzer Vega, I shortened the rear wheel openings about a quarter of an inch, and used slicks from an MPC funny car. On the Pisano& Matsubara Vega I left the wheel openings as Revell had them but raised the rear axle mount points by removing the mounts from the frame rails and reattaching them as high as they would go without having to modify the frame rails, and then I used tires and slicks from current Monogram style funny car kits. These slicks are much bigger than Revells, and to me, look much more realistic. Hope this helps!

  17. I use an old store display case , and another display case fron a jewelry store.
  18. Yes I do also. I actually have two notebooks. One for inventory, where I list the kit by manufacturer, the kit number, what I paid for it and where it was purchased. The second notebook lists the built models, the date I completed it and a list of modifications, parts other than kit supplied and the paint used. This notebook also has projects I want to build, ideas, parts needed ,decals ect. and notes or references and sometimes photos or pictures. These books go most places with me because you never know when inspiration will strike.
