  11. Wow!!!!!
  12. Im just not sold on this kit. When I have started this hobby(about a year ago) i did pay retail for some kits. Then I became a little smarter and bought from swap meets. It is just fun to buy below retail. I have a very nice house,2 collector cars, several new suv's and collect guns, so money is not a issue. The point is that it is just plastic.I guess it is just what you want to spend. Now if I can get that new Boss 302 for 45,000 dollars Hmmmmmmmm
  13. Clifford your lola is really nice! I am doing one right now and it is a good build.I just a little disappointed on the research tamiya did on this model. The tires really made me mad as bridgestones were not on this car during this period. Even the paint scheme on the box is really wrong. This car never raced in this color. The color i loved on the car was green but it had a aston martin in it.Sooo you can not make it from this kit.Need some resin guys to make aston motor or maybe a mk3b trans kit!!!!!with the mark donahue colors and decals.Sooo in my despair,I am going to make my car a continuation car or as lola calls it a heritage car.Lola will make a mk3 any way you want, just have deep pockets. Mine is painted a real rich maroon (bloodstone read) has a stroked 427 small block, dry sump system Iconic auto has sent me goodyears that fit the year of the car and looks great.I guess this could be a super street car.The car looks really mean and should be my dark passenger.I will post this auto soon.It took 2nd place in the unfinished category at ipms silicon valley.my chopper bike took first,my custom challenger took first,66 el camino took second and my aluma coupe took third. My ZR1 corvette took first in class then it took 1st overall. It was a nice day. I am glad to see a lola finished!!People start them but no one seems to complete them Thank you clifford for finishing you model The car looks really great!!
  14. This is just a general rule, hobbys and collections are not deductions.Hobbys that turn into business are now taxed so deductions are applicable.I know this because I have done this in other adventures.Just be very careful and find a good CPA to get the right info. Heres just an example of how a hobby can turn into a irs mess. I just sold a gt-350 for a great some of money.I bought this car for 800 dollars in 1973.Now this is just a hobby. When I sold the car the irs said the car is now taxed because of the profits made.Sooo I had to show reciepts on the car to prove to them it was a hobby. Thank god I had every receipt for every part on the car.I even had receipts for my racing motels rooms, tools, eating and everything related to the car. When the irs saw I spent more than the car was worth then it was dropped. But what a pain! Sooo be careful, talk to a good CPA and everything will be great. My thought though....let sleeping dogs sleep.
  15. I am very new to the hobby.I have had great success with strada sports. If there is a problem he will fix it.My first order was sent and it was someone elses order. I sent it back and he had the original order sent out fast! Kevin was my first mail order and things worked out great. Another person is Derrick at icon auto. He has great resin tyres.I have ordered from him and had great success also. Love your stuff Doc!!
  16. Thank You ,for all your help! I just ordered from rb motion. They had some cool stuff there. Hey Keith, this is for my lola. Tryin to get parts and pieces for this build.Painted the body and it took me 1 month just to do that.Doing the engine now and scratch building the dry sump pump. Needed some fittings. This place is great to get information from.Sooo many great builders out there!!Hope to see you soon bro Keith. Thanks again guys for the info.
  17. Does anyone know where i can purchase 1/12 an fittings? Thanks for the help. Bruce
  18. Very clean and neat!!! Great job! I love the build.
  19. Super Job!!!! Nice build ,love the colors and the stance.
  20. I will try to attend the contest. I have met some of the guys from the club and they are great! The cactus club had a table at the ipms modelzona show. They were very informative as I am only a two year builder. I was at the NNL west and some of the los angles guys are comming also. Sounds fun.
  21. TOO COOL!!!!!!! I like them all, but I love the limo.Did you Know James May is a model builder and has quite a collection. By the way ,where is the STIG?
  22. WOW!!!
  23. Great build!!!!!!! I saw this kit and the shape did not impress me. What you did to this kit, is make it look real, not a toy.I am very impressed with the build. I just sold my GT 350 just last year. Had the car since 1971. Wanted something different but cannot find anything that excites me yet. That car was just fun. I have drove the new GT 500 and it is alot faster but not as fun.The GT 350 just has alot of soul. As a former owner of a GT 350 your car has alot of soul!!!Did i mention this was a great build?
  24. Does anyone know where I can find 1:12 scale license plates and frames?
