  8. Engine is glued in. Fits nice. Not a lot of detail. Just plug wires. So far a pretty nice kit from revell. This was supposed to be just an experiment for the new clear I just received. Not a total build. The color and the wheels and tires just looked right so I have to build it. I used a mad modeling distributor and wire set. A was a little lazy to do my own wiring.
  9. Thank you Pierre, yes that clear works good also, the wheels are scale Motorsport. The tires are from the amt 68 Z28 kit.
  10. Thank you Andy. The paint jobs come out pretty clean, because they dry really fast. Around 2-3 minutes it starts a skim coat meaning the surface is starting to dry . This is really critical for dust. If dust lands on it, it just blows off. But if dust lands on it in the small time window, you have to buff it out. I use automotive clear urethane. It’s kind of expensive but the results are amazing.
  11. Thank you sir

  14. Hello, had to file the motor mounts about a 1/32 . The hood does not want to close. So I did this. Closes now. Always checking for fit issues.
  15. Merry Christmas. The front lower pan caught me off guard. It does not fit very well. I had to fit it after painting which is nerve racking.(sanding and filing) Do this before painting. Made some mounting plates from an evergreen plastic card. It’s very thin. This will make it much easier to glue after everything is in the body and you do have to cuss, er I mean fit it when everything is in the body.
  16. Thank you Tom

  18. I love these kits. I have them all except the Camaro. Just gave the lotus away to a friend. He builds 1/20 to 1/24/25 scale f1 and Indy cars. And he is a really great modeler. He has helped me with a few projects so when he said he was interested in the lotus , I gave it to him. Cannot wait to see the results. I had this camaro in 1/1. Some people dog these cars, but I had a blast with mine. I really love the shape and style of the car. You will have a blast restoring these. Great score sir! By the way the lotus engine in the 23 t would be really cool!!!!
  19. Thank you Carl. We have several dogs but they are a lot older and not as active. This one came into our lives and definitely livened up the place!
  20. Thank you Charlie
  21. Always checking the stance. Put the front pan on to check the center of the tire to the body. Tires and wheels have to set in the body nicely. Just bothers me when tires and wheels do not set properly in the body. This is a pet peeve of mine. So far it’s comming out the way I would like.
  22. Thank you Bernard. When I was a kid it was AMT. but now it’s revell. Even the older monogram kits are good. Here is a monogram 55 Chevy. Older kit.
