  4. Cut out a section of the inner wheelhouse for clearance for the front tires.
  5. Working on the right stance.
  6. I gave this to a close friend. A fellow modeler. When I first started the hobby, he helped me all thru the contests and just building in general, He builds aircraft and usually wins . The build was really fun and put me on the map for autos. But it just sat there. And Steve really liked it so I gave it to him. The kit is around $1100.00. I just do this. Some people think I’m nuts, and I probably am, but this is what I do. Here is a pic of that model.
  7. Thank you JerseeJerry55
  8. Thank you Carl
  9. Thank you Adam
  10. My Buddy Mark has a lot of new model factory hiro kits. The wife bought it from him. They are expensive but if you want extreme detail, these are the kits for you. So far I have done 3. 1/12 cobra, 1/12 Ferrari p4 and a 1/24 Ferrari 166. I have a 917/30 and a 935/78 1/12 in progress. And everyone I bought from Mark at a substantial savings. But still expensive. You only live once, especially after this month where I have lost several friends. Here are some pics of the cars.
  11. Put the front end together. Lights, grill and supports. Received another tire/wheel. Thought I was just about finished but there is a lot more stuff it needs. This kit is more complex than most 1/8 assemble kits. You have to model this one. There are things that do not fit. You have to modify/ model this kit. It’s more work. The just assemble crowd is going to cry. Maybe that’s why you do not see many finished. But when you do model it, it is a fantastic build of a Muira. The shape alone is to die for. Here it is so far.
  12. I bought this for $10 but did not know what kind of car it was. I asked you guys and it’s a 1933 caddy v16 . I love this site . I had no idea what kind of car it was and asked . The knowledge of people here is amazing. Know nothing about how it fits or the quality of the kit but it seemed kind of cool. I built a monogram duesenberg kit and really liked it. These are not my usual builds but I really liked the challenges and the change is nice..
  13. Thank all of you!!!!
  14. Thank you guys very much. I knew someone would know what it was. I’m lost on these old cars. This is what I love about this site. The knowledge you guys have is totally amazing. Thanks guys. One heck of a budget???? No corruption…….????
  15. Hello , I received this kit and have no idea what kind of car it is. Please help. It does not say what it is anywhere.
  16. Thank you beeRS. I will be working on it this weekend. You’re right, I believe I’m getting close to completion. The kit is pretty cool. You have to model it though. Some things need fitting and drilling. You can tell the modelers from the guys who just assemble. The modelers make it nice. The assemblers just complain.
  17. Sorry for the slow reply. The Daytona coupe was bought from club cobra site in the 90’s. Exoto. Has a serial number. Had the number 6 car but gave that to my friend Mark. The Shelby GT 350 is a Lane collectible.also a numbered car. The yellow mustang is a autoart car that the wife bought me years ago. There was a very big diecast store in Roseville California that I used to stop in. He had pretty much everything. Went out of business in 08. My collection is very small. I only bought serial number cars that were expensive for the time. Figured get quality rather than quantity. I will try to clean up my Don Garlits dragsters and post them. Bought them from the store in Roseville. Have a few Indy cars, will try to post them also. Thanks for the interest.
  18. Thank you sir
  19. Received a few more parts today. Maybe start again this weekend
  20. Hello NOBLING, this is a model factory hiro 1/12 1955 Mercedes, white metal. He was teaching me how to low temp solder.
  21. Received a 1/8 scale 1967 mazda cosmo kit. Kind of a funny car. Going to repaint it red or orange. This kit has a lot, I repeat , a lot of parts. Jay Leno has one. So since he finds it interesting and I find it interesting I’m going to build it.
  22. Had lunch with my friend Mark. He soldered this frame to a 1955 Mercedes. Looks pretty cool all by it’s self.
  23. My friend Bob gave me this kit today.
  24. That is wild !!!!
