  1. Hello and thank you SpikeSchumacher. Here is a pic of the clear. U-Pol
  2. A 1967 revell camaro. I have a new clear from Europe I’m trying. Seems to work pretty good. One coat of clear, decal the car then one more coat of clear. Not used to this one coat system. But seems to be ok. Painted it marina blue. I really like the color.
  3. Recleared the Camaro. Came out nice. The revell decals are nice.
  4. Trying a new clear. Seams to be ok. Only one coat. Going to decal then reclear. It’s only 45 degrees today , took a chance. So far it seams to work.
  5. 67 revell camaro. Scale motor sport wheels and amt tires.
  6. Went to the Yuba City IPMS contest. This is what I bought. The Matra and the Henkel I won on raffle tickets.
  7. Found some rc wheels for my 1/8 scale bug. The wheels fit the kit tires. Going for the cal look now. Slam the bug. Lime green pearl. I do not know what color the wheels are going to be yet.
  8. Cool build! Anyway you build it, it will be nice. It’s a 32, build it your way!
  9. Lining up the doors, hood and trunk. Fixing small problems along the way. Taking time but this stuff makes a model. Cannot wait to paint this car. I was talking to a IPMS judge at the nationals in Vegas. All of the models were the best I have ever seen. Asked him (how do you judge, when all of them are great builds? ) he responded you have to nit pick. So I am nit picking this Shelby body.
  10. New puppy, Keely is her name. Aussiedoodle.
  11. Sooty for your loss
  12. Another ford.
  13. Hello guys, I did not get these today. Actually I cannot remember when I purchased them. But they are cool subjects. Thought you guys might like them.
  14. Super build
  15. Hello Ray, going to go with Acapulco blue. The color chart is off. It’s very old and faded. But the restored car you see is the color. I have something that’s real close so I will go with that. Will tint the paint to get it a little closer. Right now I’m painting my house so the progress on the Shelby is a little slow right now. Really getting a little picky on the prep on the Shelby. Found some very small problem areas in the primer . So I’m fixing them. A lot more work on this body than the cobra. The fit on the cobra is so much better. You picked the right big scale kit.
  16. Oh man this is really nice!!! Great job!!!
  17. Ewetwo I have lost several dogs and each time it seems a piece of your heart is ripped out of your body. I am truly sorry for your loss. He looked like a very cool dog. Try to keep your head up . My very close friend Steve was diagnosed with cancer also. This was 4 years ago. He had a bone marrow transplant. Was in the hospital for several months but he has so far pulled out of it and has even started modeling again. He is still up and kicking. So Sometimes there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping and praying for the best for you and your wife. Very, very sincerely Bruce
  18. Sorry for your loss.
  19. Primed the body of my GT 500. 1/8 scale. Primed a lot.
  20. All primed. Bodywork looks good. Sand and ready for the Acapulco blue.
  21. Started priming. Had a few issues in the body . Now straight. Washed the parts with dawn soap and dried the parts. I always wash body parts with dawn and a toothbrush. Priming the car with a etch primer. If I miss sanding a small spot on the body, the etch primer will etch into a unsanded area and help bind the materials to the body. Like when I mask for the stripes. Will not pull up the paint when I unmask it.
  22. I Like all kits, and I like all cars. Just about every car company has or had a cool car. And like the car companies, the model companies have something cool in their stash of cars. My most favorite thing is to build a cool car that is really tough to build that cost $5 at a swap meet and take a 1st place at a IPMS event. Mark Adams from DeAgostini saw this and gave me a 1/10 Toyota 2000 GT kit to see what I could do with a expensive kit and it worked out well. You never know who’s watching, and I have been blessed. I love all of the kits and all cars.
