This is an awesome thread. I've been tempted to jump in and scratch build a chassis and this looks to be just the inspiration I needed. Incredible work here.
That looks great. I've not seen one of these on the shelves at my LHS so its great to see one all built up. I'd have been tempted to paint it.
Just how big is this when all built up?
Thanks for the comments Glu. I sure had fun amassing all of the parts, laying out the space and putting it all together.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program. Carry on.
Glu - your electrical stuff is over the top. I'd like to hear more about this annealing process you did with the printing plate because your light shade looks amazing!!
Here's a link to my dio thread. Keep in mind I did the bulk of it over 20 years ago. I think another one is in my future.

Keep posting your progress.
I'm just catching this build and went through all of the pages. Thanks for the how-to's and your valued insight. I see something similar to this in my future as I think I have most of the parts around here.
That decal really sets off the entire finish on the body. Without you telling us about the work with the pen, we wouldn't be able to tell. Nicely done Ira. What's next?
Thanks for the comments fellas. A bit more to add. I masked off the wiper pattern and fogged the windshield with dull coat sprayed at an arm's length. I've also been using Tamiya weathering powders to 'age' the overall vehicle and have a bunch more to do.
Here's a pic of the windshield.
Thanks for following along.
