  1. Glu - this is really progressing nicely and I look forward to your continuing progress. You'll need an overhead Reznor heater. Here's a pic of mine for inspiration.
  2. Now that is cool. Really? Just your second one? Everything looks great and especially love the tarp and the old globe sign. Nicely done. What's next?
  3. Any updates Manny?
  4. This dio has so much going on that it takes a ton of studying. Very well done and an inspiration to get me to make another dio. Wish I had more room.
  5. Love this. Carry on.
  6. Just went through every post on every page and I have to say Rob, you're one imaginative and talented builder. Love this theme. I was going through my local Ace hardware yesterday and they have their holiday buildings out for sale along with the accompanying figures which look to be close to the correct scale. I believe I saw a parrot or two in amongst the accessories. Is your driver's first mate glued in? Because he could use a wooden peg leg and some tattered clothing like a vest and some scarves. Maybe a worn out pirate hat. Arrrgggghhhh!!
  7. This is looking awesome DrV. The one thing that comes back to me after studying your progress are the exhaust headers. They'd be thrashed and completed mud covered when done running in the bog. Anyway to run those out the hood? Otherwise its perfect. Looking forward to shiny.
  8. Nicely done.
  9. I likes this one very much. I have one on my to-do list but with the 289. So tell me more about the better '67 chassis vs. the '66. If its that much better, I'll follow your lead.
  10. Is it soon yet? Where's those promised pictures? Let's see this week's painting you've done. I'm dying here.
  11. How about some pix of the plugs and boots from the actual car so we can visualize what we'd be trying to replicate?
  12. Mad as a hatter but he makes some wild scale rides. I'll be following along on this one.
  13. Great googly-moogly - that's gorgeous. That is one sweet beauty!!
  14. Now this is cool Tony. Very nicely done. The roof needs a stove pipe sticking out and maybe add lights to the free-standing sign with power line running from the corner of the store, complete with glass insulators?
  15. I agree. The few pics here are just teezing us. Anyway you can post more and fill us in a bit on the background story?
  16. Nicely done Mark. Love it!! Any more stuff you plan on adding?
  17. WOW! Other than the doors needing a bit of weathering and the top bricks as you mentioned, this will make a great backdrop. Maybe some latches/hinges on the doors too?
  18. Jack - this is truly a cool build and completely out of the box. I LOVE this. Carry on.
  19. I like it. Cool build up of one of the all-time best vintage kits.
  20. Thanks guys for the kind words and input. This was a very enjoyable build and I may just make another similar one but different in function.
  21. Now this is cool. Love your progress so far. I've built a few dios but I have no more room so I think that's it for me. I'll just watch your amazing progress instead, its almost as fun.
  22. Oh yea Chris, this is looking great. Love the old style multicolored brick and you nailed it. The floor is superb as well.
  23. Awesome project and spot on. Wheel wells and doors look great. This is one of my favorite body styles and I'm sure you'll do it justice. Carry on.
  24. I like your fix for the seat corners. Came out great and I too am looking forward to the chassis being in paint. Are you still planning on having this complete by Desert Scale Classic this year? I would like to know so I can make other plans for different categories. :-)
