  1. You're very welcome Niko. I look forward to your build of this beast. As for my '59, it should really progress now that most of the chassis is done.
  2. Danno - thanks for following along. Always something different. Jose - thank you. Niko - your comments are always great to hear. Really appreciated. I took a couple of pictures this morning and captured a few from the link you provided. What a beast that '59 is. Not really sure what's going on with the bed of the truck or the rear end set up but really cool. I can see why you'd want to build it. From the video clip. Another. Modelhaus '59 Chevy front end with grill. And without grill. This resin body is a perfect match for what you want to do. It comes with the chrome hood emblem, dual headlight bezels, grill insert (which you won't need), chrome blinker inserts, hubcaps (others you won't need) and clear headlight lenses. The chrome fender emblems on the body are molded into the resin body which could quite easlily be BMF'd. They look really good. The rear window from the '55 to '57 AMT truck kit fits just fine. I haven't tried the front windshield. The interior tub fits well too.
  3. Yea...what Chris said but with more emphasis on 'speechless' and 'sure is nice.' Really impressed.
  4. A bunch of concentrated bench time in this weekend and its finally sitting on all fours although still looking for the right tires. Got the steering with the functioning U-joints painted, installed and buttoned up. I had to make new turnbuckles with RB rod ends and Scale Hardware nuts and bolts. Its still a bit stiff but it will loosen up over time. Still need to go in with a black wash over the aluminum U-joints to darken them up a bit. I had a tough time getting any decent pictures of it so here's the best of what I got. Here it is sitting on all fours. Close-up of driver's side. A shot of whole axle with the wheels turned. Another shot of the whole axle. I couldn't decide which one I liked better. That's it for tonight. I hope to get back to work on the cab body this week. I filled in the larger back window opening with the actual kit glass and cut the smaller window size into it. Still a bit of filler and sanding to do. Thanks for your interest and comments welcome.
  5. Oh yea!! That is most excellent. Looks great Chris. Very clean and precise. 2600 replies and counting.
  6. Looks great Chris. You're going to run into an issue with the thickness of the roof hatch and will need to figure out how to recess the hinge by thinning out the material on the body and hatch itself. If the hatch were to flip inside the body, it wouldn't be an issue. I'm confident you'll get this done.
  7. Doesn't matter to me John in which order you build these as long as you do both. I'm quite certain they'll both be Teresi masterpieces.
  8. Thanks. I enjoyed every minute of it. Deciding on a layout, collecting the parts, assembling the pieces, fabricating items, wiring it up, etc. A ton of fun. I'll build another, I'm thinking one to connect with this one through the door on the right. One with a lift or two.
  9. Thanks so much Dave. I should have the other side done either tonight or tomorrow. Then I can paint and continue on with the body. Still waiting on sourcing the correct or at least similar all-terrain tires.
  10. Very nicely done. I'm looking forward to seeing that piano hinge put to good use.
  11. Exceptional John. That's going to look awesome with that interior in it. As Joe mentions above. I rode an amusement park ride like that as a kid called the Wild Mouse. The wheels were in the center and rear of the car and my older brother made me sit in the front. I don't care to do that again.
  12. Man, not much to show but it seems I was working on this for hours both yesterday and today just to get this one side to this point. I'm stoked about how it came out. Now onto the driver's side. The U joint works quite smoothly with the wheel turning and steering. Thanks for your interest and comments appreciated.
  13. Thanks Clint. I've gotten side-tracked again and bumped another build in front of this one. I ran into an issue with the angle of one of the drive shafts and it seems that every time I get going on this build, I run into another set back. Currently focusing my efforts on my '59 Chevy African Scout truck. I'll eventually get back to this one. Thanks for your interest.
  14. Spent some time working on getting the hood to fit properly and then a first coat of primer on the cab and hood. Also started working on the U-joints for the steering. At work right now so I'll post some pics tomorrow. Safe a safe new years everyone.
  15. OK, pulling this one back off the shelf now that the build for my dad's Christmas present is done and wrapped up. Hope to get a bunch done today and tomorrow.
  16. Looks spectacular Rick. Keep these updates coming.
  17. Thanks for your interest Dave. I did get a bit of work done on it but not much. Holidays are a really busy time and I was hoping to get more bench time in than I did.
  18. Thanks Art. Just waiting on the hood pins I ordered from Detail Master to arrive so I can get them on and box this one up.
  19. I was hoping to see an update on this cool combo and you didn't disappoint. Nice progress so far. This dragster is on my to-do list.
  20. Thanks guys. Really appreciate your kind words.
  21. That is stellar. Great idea for a mini dio. Very well executed with all of the little details.
  22. Killer update Chris. Man those pulleys are awesome. Dave really surprised you with those. They are saweeet.
  23. Now that is nice. What's left to do to this? Are you panning on adding non-functioning lights to the Texaco signs? I especially like that last outdoor picture. That is a step back in time and in color too.
  24. Thanks again fellas. Gene - This is the AMT '63 Galaxie Millenium kit. Larry - is that Ford dealership still there? I can't believe I was able to do a build in under 2 and a half months. That's unheard of for me. Guess I need a deadline on all of my builds.
  25. Thanks for the comments fellas. They're really appreciated.
