  1. Hey guys. I've almost sourced a kit, at this stage it'll either be a 53 or a 60 Bug. Wheels will be stripped Mock Boyd Coddingtons painted to match the actual car.
  2. Tom Daniel Ranks highly in my favoiurite hotrod designers of all time.
  3. Diymirage, can you put me down for the 2010 release Volkswagen Beetle Custom In purple / white with green flames? I've wanted to build a volksrod for ages. I'll post a pic of the hotwheels car soon.

    ZOMBIE

Hey Guys, here's some pics of my first ever Rat Rod build, aptly named ZOMBIE.
  5. Hey guys! Here's my '70 mustang. I combined my favourite parts from both the 302 Boss and the Mach 1 kit to create one mean weekend drag racer. I didn't want to make just another Boss or Mach 1, so I did something different. The distributor is plumbed and she's running on wide GT radials in the rear and skinnys up front. A perfect weekend drag racer. Paint is Tamiya Silver Metallic with four light coats of automotive clear coat.
  6. The best part is the headers only JUST fit in there LOL! Cheers mate. More progress soon, once I get the hang of the mud technique. I have a bit of reading to do i think
  7. Here's some more pictures of ZOMBIE.
  8. Here's some of mine: My '32 Ford Roaster Chop "Zombie" A current project '39 Chev Chop "Truckin' Oath" In the works '32 Ford Coupe Chop
  9. I love this car! Dom's cameo in Tokyo Drift was the highlight of the movie for me. I will watch this build with eager eyes as I am building the Charger from the first movie to my own personal specs based on what I saw in the movie.
  10. Thanks for the comments guys! I've been weatherring since I was very young, mostly making model trains look like they'd been through central Australia. My technique is easy to learn. I dry brush, where you dip your brush in paint and cean it until there's only a tiny amount of paint left on there, then go for it.
  11. Thanks mate. I tried to put a lot of time into this one.
  12. Yeah I'll admit, this was my first chop ever. it turned out okay but I noticed with this kit that the door lines weren't very deep in the first place. I'll make sure to scribe them next time.
  13. My gentle Jesus was this kit frustrating or what? None of the parts fit well AT ALL! But given the fact that it took me 18 months to build I think it turned out well. It's box stock apart from the hand made antenna and weathering. I wanted it to look like the Duke boys had really thrashed it
  14. Here's my progress so far: Shes an '80 Bronco with a Chevrolet 427 Blown Big Block and Tom Daniels Intake. Tyres and wheels are from a kids toy. I like how it's turning out so far. Not much in the way of painting as yet as it's winter over here at the moment
  15. Hey guys, about time I posted some progress pics! The top is chopped, the body mouldings all completely shaved and paintwork is mostly completed, however a tad poorly
  16. After seeing that picture I now need a change of underwear
  17. Jaguar Parking Only.... Finally someone who gets it! Hahaha! Welcome mate!
  18. I'm interested I have over 300 to choose from including most of the more recent releases.
  19. When ever I get stuck in a rut I do something crazy to get me all fired up again. Like turning a 39 Chev coupe into a chopped ratrod / shortbed truck / dually. It was very different for me and incredibly challenging but a great experience, sometimes you just need to give it time to fester into a grander idea.
  20. I can confirm that for you mate, he works for foose along with a couple of the other guys. Foose is my idol. I wanna build a replica of his truck
  21. Mate I am in absolute awe! I have bought this kit twice and have only once made it look kinda cool. I thought it was damned near impossible to make a 39 chev look good but you've proved me wrong. Good on ya mte, I will definately be watching this build with eager eyes!
  22. No worries matey. I'll post it elsewhere. Good news though is that both are coming along quite well. I'm considerring orderring some parts from the parts box... hmm ideas!
  23. Hey Guys, I'm still on this project. One is complete, another is 90% there and the other two are lost in the idea bank. Photos soon as soon as my darned XP computer co-operates!
  24. Since my Bronco build is going so good I had a sweet idea. For a second project to add to this build I'm going to build a ratrod / farm truck inspired by the song "Maggies Farm" by Rage Against the Machine. What I want to achieve is a vehicle that looks as though it was made from spare parts found lying around "Maggies Farm" where this employee say for instance was ill treated and therefor needed a means to escape. Updates soon
  25. Cheers mate, mine will be done within a couple months as it's a fairly simple build. I've already raised the suspension a scale 6.5" and fitted the SS 427 Chev motor with supercharger, she looks so mean so far. Paint will be classic Bronco style, Blood red interior with Blue aftermarket bucket seats and a black exterior coverred in thick mud
