Good to know I'm not the only one who's not limiting my ideas to out of the box builds! Can't wait to see what else you have planned! I'll post pics tomorrow. I also dew up some concept art to give me better ideas before I jump into the builds

Hey guys, a quick update from me. War: 1932 Ford Roadster inspired in part by chip foose Famine: Slingshot dragster with custom body work Death: 1939 Mercury Coupe (Converted to a truck) *POSTED UP WITH PHOTOS SOON* Pestillence: Undecided... I was thinking along the lines of a 50s / 60s wagon done up to look like an ambulance with BIOHAZZARD on the side. Each of the horsemen will be present in there vehicles as I'll be making them out of large scale skeleton kits from a party supply store that stocks halloween gear. Ooh! i'm so excited, I hope though that my ideas do not offend anyone, but man is this inspiring!

What gets you going?

I started modelling when i was 13 with an AMT Ford Phantom Vicky. Dad and I built it unpainted and unfortunately I lost it. it wasn't until this year, some 11 years later that I've gotten back into modelling. I've learnt so much from here that it's amazing. As far as cars I like, I'd have to say my favourite builds are rat rods, because I've leanr which kits have seperate chassis' and I chop and channel the body and have the freedom to add as much detail as i like. I also LOVE American muscle cars, especially mustangs and Dodges. I like almost all types of car, be they stock or new but I'm trying to expand my reach of what i can build. believe it or not I'm building a 65 Cadillac donk in lime green, this is to test my patience and see how it turns out. I kinda like donks, don't know why but i figured if i built one well it might look good. -
I was gonna say something but they say if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say anything. VW mudflaps on a chevy don't make much sense to me but each to there own. it's a great build, wish i could shop a body and have the part line look that clean!

Terrible Kits You Love!
DiscoSpud replied to Chuck Most's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wouldn't say the Beatnik Bandit is a bad kit at all, i love it! I'v completed paint and decal work (pain in the arse) but it appears to be a simple kit and I will buy it again. Perhaps this is the terrible kit I love the most? -

I tell you what guys, I may do hillbilly deluxe at this stage, however if a trip to the hobby store doesn't warrant good kit results I may have to find another song but I'll get into it I was thinking if after I completed this build if anyone would be interested in another communtiy build focused on other music genres? it's a bit of a stretch but we'll see. -
Ooh! some are so lucky! I would be building ratrods till my head turned blue if I had a stash like that!

Sorry about the slow progress Jim, I just can't find a Toyota body that looke enough like the one in the Hillbilly vid, I'll have to jump on it soon or'll I'll go balls out and scratch build a body. In the words of jeremy Clarkson "How hard can it be?" -
