  1. All I will say is take your time and get it right the first time. If only I had followed that advice on many of my full size projects. It looks like a challenge that you can handle with maybe just a little help from your friends.
  2. Nice work and a great collection, congratulations.
  3. Candy Red T looks like it fell off Hot Rod Magazine cover in the early 60's, I love it! Followed by Golden Chariot, Pair of Deuces, The Lakesters, Dragsters, I love them all. What a terrific year for you! Nice Work!
  4. Here's mine, I've added two more, one started yesterday a Monogram "55 Chevy CBP.
  5. That's a nice looking Corvette. Those hubcaps from Modelhaus really look good. I need some. Great finish, Congrats.
  6. I really like your blue Nova. I bought one new like that, same color with a 350 V/8. Also really like the Merc. It was a good year.
  7. I slept through the whole thing! Took some NyQuil cold medicine, went to bed and didn't wake up till noon today Did I miss anything? I've seen the ball get dropped too many times I guess.
  8. Welcome aboard!
  9. Are you a time-traveler? That is amazing! Getting the paint to dry that fast is amazing, what did you use? I'm thinking airbrush, lacquer thinner, dehydrator. Am I close? Looks great too! Nice job.
  10. You're right Chris is was the 476, he served on it during WWll and stayed on till 1955. He then was sent to Washington D.C. to finish out his career. I guess that makes me a Navy brat.
  11. I couldn't have said it any better than Chris. Happy New Year to you and yours.
  12. Happy New Year! We still have 7 hours to go, hopefully I will be in bed fast asleep. Nice to hear from another part of the world. How do you celebrate, besides being on here?
  13. If you can't tell where this one is going, scroll down to the second photo. This is where most of my 1/24 scale cars end up.
  14. Hey guys, Just thought I would post some more pictures . Anyone else have anything? Think I remember Ace Garage Guy on another thread looking pretty well done. I'm going to finish up my green one soon and start a new CBP and I guess there is no deadline on this one. I finished another AMT '32 but, didn't post it here do to the non action on this thread. So I am posting a picture of it here now for inspiration. Thought I was done with the Phaeton but, had to change the wheels, so here's the new look. It's also Under Glass. Happy New Year everybody!
  15. It turned out great, I think I remember this one "on the workbench". Nice conversion, that engine looks at home in there. I think I like it better then the AMT offering, I may attempt one some day. Congratulations on a great model.
  16. Chris, Congratulations on what you did accomplish. My favorite is your Model T pickup not yet shown. That Sub may be like the one my Dad was on, the USS Runner, it looks good anyway. You know I'm not a military fan but, this one is neat! Happy New Year of Modeling for 2013.
  17. I don't consider myself a Vette guy but, thanks. I like the early years up to '67. I never owned a full size one and never will. I started collecting them in 1962 and still have all the AMT annuals. I really like street rods and pickup trucks now and cars of the '50s. Hope I was of some help to you. Looking forward to some more pictures.
  18. Here are three more. The black one I call my '54 because, that's the only year, '53 through '55 that black was an option. The two blue one's in the second picture I am still working on.
  19. Here's the one with the front fender shaved under the panel. I have five more but, can't locate the pictures, so I will take new ones and get back.I
  20. That's nice! That's a real nas car! Seriously I love it! This one should be allowed "Under Glass". You need more pictures, please!
  21. But the tail lights look like dresser drawers with knobs .
  22. I like the way you handled the script on the engine. I've built this kit a few times and there are some issues. The front sits a little high for me but, easy fix, relocate the spindles upward by cutting them off and regluing them, or turn them up side down. The windshield is a horrible fit and may require some trimming so the dash fits right. I think it was designed to be fully assembled before paint. I've ran into a few problems with things fitting after paint and would suggest assembling as much as possible before paint, like the chassis and interior. There always seems to be a problem getting the rear wheels centered in the openings, i would suggest leaving the rear springs unattached until you have the axle exactly where you want it. A lot of people have said the side trim appears to go up hill. On one of mine I trimmed the front fender off a little at the bottom behind the wheel opening, this seemed to help to my eye. Hope that's not too much information, I just get excited when I see someone building this kit. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.
  23. That's some interesting history Tu'lio, thanks for all your tips and I am having fun.
  24. Good to see you back Manny, missed you dearly. No one can junk a model like you. I know it was a tough loss for you and I can only imagine. Welcome back.
  25. Beautiful paint work! That low-rider song keeps playing in my head.
