  1. Started mine on another thread, couldn't wait any longer. I will still be watching for more tips from you, thanks for all your help, hope you are feeling better.
  2. Thanks Doc, I know I'm starting out good when a get a comment from you!
  3. Thanks Randy, Glenn, and Jim for helping get this started. The colors I am thinking are black and white but, not necessarily a patrol car. I was thinking more like the '57 Chevy Black Widow look only on a Ford. Probably white rims with black-walls. I'm really excited about this! Picked up my black paint today thinking maybe of spraying it on this afternoon. A little last minute shopping for Christmas set me back on schedule. Had to drive to Indy to Lowes, about 50 miles away, to get what I wanted. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for looking.
  4. I'm excited about building this kit, to say the least. After watching others begin on here I couldn't wait any longer, so just decided to start my own thread. My first new build for 2013. Desided to two tone it with Model Masters Wimbeldon White on the top and trunk. It might be hard to see in picture. The engine is Dupli-color Ford Engine Red over cheap red oxide primer. Now I'm waiting till 9am for Hobby Lobby to open so I can get some Testors Gloss Black for the other body color. Some last minute shopping before a major storm moves in the area tonight. Merry Christmas everybody and thanks for looking.
  5. I know you are having fun with what you are building. I watched you build the yellow 71. I really love the Chevy pickup.
  6. You are moving right along with yours. I like the blue and the darker interior will look good also. I started mine a few days ago but, with the Christmas Holiday approaching work has came to a halt. I got my top color, Wimbeldon White painted and the engine painted Ford red and that's about it. Still haven't decided on a base color. I'm considering Desert Tan or Black. I think the Black would look good displayed next to the '57 Chevy Black Widow. Enough about me, sorry, I'm just excited to see others started on here and becoming inspired about this kit. I'll be watching for more updates on yours. Love the wide whites.
  7. I will still count you in, as not giving up on the hobby. One is better then none! I'm sure we all have had a year where things don't always happen the way we wish, I like your model anyway. Happy New Year of Modeling for 2013.
  8. I'm thinking of the old Monogram '55 Chevy, AMT Dukes Charger, or maybe the Revell '56 Ford pickup.
  9. Thanks, I really love hearing that comment, something I will never hear from my wife.
  10. Nice to see the pair together for comparison. I still love them both. When I was in High School I would have wanted the green one, now, maybe the stock one. Who am I trying to kid, I would be happy with either one!
  11. It was love at first sight for me, excellent job. This looks like the kind of vehicle I would see on a lot and end up driving it home on impulse. Beautiful!
  12. I love the Gasser look! Yeah it's high!!!
  13. Agree with everyone so far. Nice!
  14. Count me in, I think I can do at least one.
  15. Nice Camaro. The hood really looks great but, might make it difficult to see around for a street car.
  16. Nice interior! The body doesn't look to bad 10 feet away. This one definitely deserves a closer look. It would look good in 1/25 scale.
  17. Nice tribute to a piece of racing history and not an easy car to build. I've always been a Petty fan but, did not know about this car. Thanks for sharing your album.
  18. Man that is sweet! You got the 50s look going on. Very smooth, and all in 3 days? Nice work!
  19. That is one SWEET ride. Love the interior.
  20. Nice job, from what I can see, wish the pictures were bigger. It looks like a lot of scratch building went into this one.
  21. Thanks for recreating the movie cars for us. They all look sweet! Now to do Talladega Nights.
  22. Thanks for the comments.
  23. Thanks for all the nice comments.
  24. Nice and looks expensive.
  25. Interior is awesome, also love the engine, like most everyone else has said, nice job!
