It turned out beautiful! The first two pictures look like a real full size truck. I watched along with most of your build and the end result is awesome. The real wood in the bed got me hooked, then the chains, and the screw on gas cap. What a detail artist you are! We need an engine picture here. Congratulations on a beautiful model. Thanks for all the comments and help. The factory stock look is kind of what I'm going for although, I hate to back-track. I agree the valve covers would look better black with the kit decals applied, wish I knew that sooner. The wheels I have painted white, I thought they wolud look good with the blackwalls. I think black wheels would look good with whitewalls. I will probably take your suggestion on the interior and go with factory gray. I'll think about the other changes, thanks.

I opened this kit, although it still appeared to be in shrink-wrap, the kit had been started once before. I will give it a try once again if allowed, I'm in..

My choice is the Monogram '55 Chevy. My Wife bought me three of these one time because she knew I loved '55 Chevys. I gave two of them to my kids to build. What she didn't know is that I hated this kit. List of reasons; I don't like 1:24 scale, I prefer 1:25 I don't like the 2 door hardtop, I prefer the 2 door post I don't like to have the hood cut open The proportions look off to me on this one, especially in the rear I don't like the bucket seats and this one doesn't have a bench I don't like the way the rear wheel openings are cut The suspension is %#^&* "Bad Man" looks good compared to this one The tires are junk And the biggest reason, no one else here wants to build it!

What a great year you had!!! I love them all. I want to build them all. Even the plane is very cool being non-military. My favorite of all is the '40 Ford.

Got my second color on today, it went down pretty smooth. Next will be the trim, and back to the engine. A few pictures, first one got it masked;In the paint booth;Sprayed it with airbrush;Nice gloss but, one little speck of dust on the hood, should buff out, I hope;That's all folks, thanks for watching.

I like MCM the best of any magazine I have ever bought. I never could understand why so many magazines post date them by 3 months and then you read about an event that happened 6 months ago. I think MCM is at least keeping it honest in real time although, my November issue didn't arrive till near the end of the month and I still can't find it at the newsstand or LHS for an extra copy. Hopefully MCM is still growing, keep up the good work!

Your engine is looking good. I see how you could make a mistake on the valve cover direction, the instruction sheet really doesn't show the tapered edge. I just about did the same thing. Nice progress!

This is probably what I would be doing if we had no power till the battery went dead. Seriously, I know what it's like, we once lost our power for four days during an ice storm. My wife sat in a chair reading with my Mag light strapped to her head.

Casey, I know people in Wisconsin are crazy about snow, I prefer the summers there, the lakes feel a lot friendlier when the're not frozen over. Yeah, you guys are right, guess I got a little bored today. Really the snow doesn't bother me so bad since I'm retired and don't have to go out in it anymore. Looking out the window, I couldn't resist making this post.
