  1. Kool '37 for sure! I love the paint and wheels look perfect for this. Other details also are nice like the blue dots and engine wireing. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Here's the one I was talking about Doc. Loving the junk in the trunk.
  3. Nice thread, keep it going please! Wish I had something to contribute.
  4. First of all, welcome to the forum. I loved your video. Nice job on the model, the paint looks great. Seems like there are always a few tweaks on every one I build. I've never built the '61 but, it looks difficult with all the chrome trim. Hope to see a lot more of your work.
  5. Thanks Ace Garage Guy, It means a lot coming from you. Your Deuce is one of the most killer ones I've seen. Still working on the tube frame and having fun with it. Plan on doing the rear also. The idea now seems to be just having '55 sheet metal which is slowly getting cut away. The engine is a 350 Chevy out of the Monogram '37 Ford kit. I wanted to keep it 1/24 scale and mated it with the transmission from the '55 kit. I then realized the kit engine is a SBC, even though the "Bad Man " kit calls it a 396. Oh well, the new one has better detail.
  6. Progress pictures, not really much going on. I did decide to go ahead and paint the valve covers black so they would look right. Also got the seats painted and decal-ed. A lot of the other small parts got painted. My 18 month old Grandson came over to spend the day and night so, plans for the weekend changed on this project. Hope to have it "Under Glass" soon. Thanks for looking.
  7. Two beautiful models! Love all your details.
  8. Very awesome, what a great build! It just looks perfect in every way. Sweet!!!
  9. You are a rock star Doc! Thanks for all the eye candy.
  10. I love this about the "cranky shaft". I just can't help myself from checking in on this one every two hours now. Love to see more pictures but, enjoying the comments too. Doc you have a huge fan club!
  11. Yeah Doc, I guess "white-out " is kind of a northern term maybe, like when the snow causes a white-out condition on the road where you can't tell where the road is any more. I probably didn't use that in the proper sense. Anyway, I was just wondering why you made the driver's door more white. Now that I see the primer spot on the right rear I'm thinking it is just part of the "Rat" look. I just keep noticing more details, I'm sure I will keep looking back over and over. More pictures of the junk in the trunk please, I remember seeing some magazines and such. Great build from a busy man, wish I had half of your energy and skill. Nice going!
  12. Doc, you continue to amaze me! This build was well planed from the beginning. The guitar and amplifier are the icing on the cake. Your weathering always looks perfect. Just one question, you are only showing one side in the pictures. I noticed kind of a white-out going on on the driver's side door earlier while you were in the process, what was up with that? Just curious if that was part of a plan. Our LHS now has them in stock for &19.99, I will have one by the end of the week.
  13. It looks like you were serious when you said it would be finished this week end. The only thing I still do not see is the guitar and you did say you were doing it last as I recall. You are a man with a plan indeed! Thanks Doc, you have inspired me to try and finish one this week end.
  14. I love the bus! I remember seeing one of these at our local VW dealer used as a parts vehicle but, it wasn't decked out like yours. Cool!
  15. At least it doesn't peel off or wrinkle. I agree, it is a little too gray. Without clear it rubs off too easy. Thanks for the compliment anyway.
  16. Happy Birthday Gregg, and thanks for an awesome magazine! Many more to you and yours.
  17. Yes I did, picked it up at Hobby Lobby in the art supply section, It goes on easy and cleans off easy also with either Gojo hand cleaner or auto polish. When I get it just right I put clear over it to seal it. I'm not good with Bare Metal Foil so far. Thanks for the compliment. Here's a look at the Hudson I did with the pen.

Let me be the first to say, I have never built one of these. It looks challenging I love your color choice, or colour choice as you say in the UK. Nice looking model!
  19. Those engine wires look like the real thing, good job on that. Did you add spark plugs? Man that looks great. Other than that it looks just like the one I built a few years ago. That was before I attempted wires, what a difference it makes on this one. I really like it.
  20. No wonder I'm having so much trouble, the last batch I purchased was Detail Master. The wrinkles are a problem for sure. All I can use it for, with any success is for little pieces. Actually, I have had an on going battle with BMF since the beginning. I usually revert back to using silver paint or a silver pen.
  21. This one makes a very nice box stock model. You did a great job on the paint.
  22. This video gave me a whole new impression of Henry Ford only not in a good way. The way he bullied his son Edsel was shameful. You never get this side of the story from most accounts. I was aware of his hatred of Unions however, and how he tried to fight them. I wasn't aware of he how he fired most of his top men and at the same time always taking credit for all their work as though it was his. Never knew he was such a raciest either. I lost a lot of respect for the man.
  23. This is really an awesome video, thanks for posting.
  24. This is a cool thread, thanks for starting it and all the contributions.
  25. Nice looking model, I can see why it's still one of your favorites. It still looks show room new.
