55' Chevy Cameo 1/25 AMT
rmvw guy replied to kekefe's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I think it looks great, why don't you like it? I like the satin red finish with the white and the lowered stance. When you say you are going to paint the windshields white, I think you mean what we call headlights in the USA. Be proud of this model it looks great and I would leave the windshields like they are. Nice job! -
It's gone, nothing left to salvage. Thanks for sharing that one once again Manny, I love your work.
-
Looks good and worth waiting for, I will keep checking back for updates. The paint and wheels look fantastic.
-
Thanks for the update photos, looking good! Noticed your tail pipes and reminded me I lost one of mine, they are so small and they just roll around and get away if your not careful, like me. I will have to open kit number 2 to get some more. I've been having a little trouble with Photobucket too. Wonder if they are in the process of making users switch to the new. Hey, keep up the good work, you are almost there.

Cad powered '50s era '40 Ford coupe (with handmade brass rad)
rmvw guy replied to traditional's topic in Diecast Corner
First thing I noticed, the chrome fender welts, nice touch. I never see these on plastic models although, I have added them on a VW Beetle and a"37 Ford, not easy to do. Beautiful paint! I really like the suspension. The engine is like jewelry and the Nerf bars are really cool. Nice job overall on the whole project. -
Nice Cobra, I love the paint. I built one of these up years ago and it is still one of my favorite models. Are those the kit wheels? Just wondering because, mine came with spoke wheels.

"It's funny how you miss some things until you take a picture." Isn't that the truth, especially when you post it on here, it happens to me every time. Every time I see the "Color Me Gone" car I get excited. I love your example, nice work, especially for a 24 hour build.

That's a good looking bug! How many CCs? I figure about 2275 CCs, just a wild guess. I ran a '67 Bug at the drags back when I was young, always loved them and still do. I would love to have a 1:1 like yours.

Man I love this one! Great job! What a shame to tear up the nice paint but, that's what they'er for right? Love it!!!!

It looks good with the black top. It looks real similar to the one I'm doing, I was thinking the same thing also about the "Black Widow" look not the cop car. What color are you going on the wheels? I think the lowered stance will look good also. Keep it going! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68233

'57 Ford Custom (Finished, see it in Under Glass forum 3-7-13)
rmvw guy replied to rmvw guy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks Jim, I might give that a try in a couple of days if local hobby store doesn't come through. He was at $6.95 a package which I don't think is too bad plus I'm hoping he will let me see if there is any wrinkles in it before I buy it. -

Local hobby store still has no BMF. Took a trip to Hobbytown USA in Indy over week end and no BMF there neither, is this stuff getting hard to come by? I corrected the two-tone this morning under the trunk lid and a little strip under the back window. ( Thanks Brett for the tip.) I want some BMF before I give up on that idea. I really like the way this one is turning out so far. Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think good or bad. -
How big is your work table ?
rmvw guy replied to Fender's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here's my work table today while I stay warm by the fire. Next it spreads to this. Then this in the kitchen. Then this back in the garage to paint. And this my original work table in the garage a mess as usual. And this by 1:00 pm blocking the garage door so she can't get in.And now to get the whole mess cleaned up before the Wife gets home or I could end up in the dog house. Maybe not such a good plan after all. -
Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
rmvw guy replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Had to laugh, I noticed your post was marked 1:44 am. and I thought you meant turn your attention toward going to bed at first. Been there, done that. I'm sure the bed will turn out great too Derick. -
Lots of great detail. Nice job on all the weathering, many good stories could come out of this yard. All the grass and weeds look very convincing. I like it very much, nice job.

Nice Nova, that looks like a monster motor, love all the details everywhere, Really love the pipes coming through the body. Nice, nice, nice.

Anyone have any good snow pictures today?
rmvw guy replied to rmvw guy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Nice pictures, see snow isn't so bad and it will melt eventually, just watch out for the flooding if it melts too fast. -
Nice looking model! I like the name "Fun Saver".
-
I know what you mean with this kit, it does have some issues. It took me over 10 years to finish mine after shoving it back in the box several times. It finally turned out nice and so did yours. I was happy when they came out with the stock version later.http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x440/rmvw/DSC03300.jpg

Ditto on this one too!

Anyone have any good snow pictures today?
rmvw guy replied to rmvw guy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I would be hard pressed to find any snow here today although, did see some along the river bank this morning. We are now getting some lite rain so, got the Jeep out to work on it a little preparing for some more bad weather, just in case. This is where the first photo on this thread was taken. Snow ain't all that bad! -

Thanks Andre, how's yours coming along, haven't seen you on here in a while? You are one who helped me get mine started. I might have been finished by now if I would quit baking up to do things twice. Thanks for the comments. -
Mostly images of what ever i am building. I do look on ebay motors some. All I am really interested in now is cars and trucks and starting to narrow that down to certain decades and types. Also I like to look at dioramas even though I don't build them. Love YouTube also for videos like Doctor Cranky's. No wonder I'm on here all the time!
