Thanks Richard, I appreciate that, it means a lot. -
The car and trailer look great to me from what I can see Bernard. The bench looks about like mine right now, everything right where you want it.

I wish I could see the back of the red one but, I have a feeling it would look just like the Red and white #22 stock car above. I will repaint. -

Still looking for images of two tone paint schemes. Okay the Fairlane series is different. -
I like it. I had a blue one after High School when I got my first real job. Nice little package on that one.

My Wife thinks we are all crazy on here. Yeah, can I come over and play? I love that slot car track!

I thought I remembered something about the radiator support on the one I saw. The guy had a little piece of 2x4 in there for a temporary brace until he could make a part for it. I'm sure guys have found a lot better way of making this exchange now, it was years ago. -
Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
rmvw guy replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Thanks again Rob, I really do appreciate what you are doing as "Cheerleader". This is only my second CBP and I think I know what you are talking about already. I noticed your name on the other one too as a participant, the AMT '32 Fords. I feel like I almost took that thread over but, didn't mean to, wondering what happened to the guy that started it. Really hated to see that one die and still hoping for a new life on it. Hang in there, we are having some fun here! -
Where did everybody go? I'm still planning on finishing this one. Going to Indy today where I hope to pick up some pipe screen, you know the real fine screen used in pipes. I want to use this for my cowl vent which I have cut open. This is the one thing I feel that has halted my progress. Now to move on, I hope. Kind of want to build the Rat Roaster next. Sorry to see this one die, always loved the old AMT '32s.

I have seen this done on a 1:1 but, not with the penny. I think someone may have a kit for this. Great job on the model. I passed this one up about four times before finally looking at it. Not disappointed at all, very nice. -

It really looks good Richard. I always love all of your builds. It looks good in satin too. -
Anybody else do this?
rmvw guy replied to mnwildpunk's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When I get the paint out of a rattle can and use it in my air brush I sometimes ask myself, " Is this is crazy or what?" I feel I get way,way better results with the airbrush. I can get in all the cracks and crevasses. I have found that the easiest way to clean it now is put all the parts, (4, I have a Paasche single action), in a glass baby food jar with cheap lacquer thinner, shake it around, then wipe them clean, takes about 5 minutes. I use mostly Testors enamels now thinned with cheep lacquer thinner with great results. Picked that tip up off of here via Dr. Cranky and Don Yost. Love it!!!!! -
I don't like it........ I love it!! Nice job! It looks kind of like the original color in the photos. I think I am going to have to build one of these soon. I love it with the top up. I remember a guy having one of these in High School with a torn up top. Everyone laughed at him with the cold Indiana winters we used to get. I bet they aren't laughing now. These cars are probably the most collectible '55s of all.

Nice job and a really, really, really fast build. Has that kit even been out a week yet besides early releases? I was wondering how it would look in blue and now I know. Love the fenders on it. Where is the guitar? Had to ask. I just got mine 24 hours ago and options are still going around in my head. Congratulations on being one of the first to post a finished model of this.

Nice picture, I know you guys love that white stuff up there in snowmobile country. It's about gone here with 50 degree temperatures yesterday and a little rain. 38 degrees today here. Thanks for sharing your photo.
