  1. Thanks, Tom. Hopefully I'll be able to transfer my vision in my head to my hands. Doesn't always seem to work out that way some times.
  2. Thanks, guys. I want to finish up the DAF XF105 that I started a couple of weeks ago before I get too deep into this one.
  3. Thanks, guys. Yes, I think a little more wheelbase is a good idea.
  4. I have managed to get some assembly done on my 1976 Chevrolet Bison: I'm not making it a tractor, but a stake bed. Here is the GW Trucks Detroit Diesel 6V92T (as yo know, the kit comes with a Detroit Diesel 8V92N) Mock up of what I'm looking for: I think the rear suspension need to go a little further back.
  5. Nice looking chain drive. I really enjoyed building mine.
  6. Should be an interesting Euro build. Looking forward to your progress.
  7. Great projects all around. Well done.
  8. Well, I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring on this one. Plan is to build a Chevrolet Bison stake truck with a 108" BBC hood & Detroit Diesel 6V92T from GW Trucks. I figure, starting in January I might have a chance of finishing! Wish me luck.
  9. Nicely done. Must feel pretty good getting it done. A 1/72 707 must be pretty big!
  10. Looks pretty good. I like it.
  11. Great job on the daycab conversion. So you know, this wouldn't be a K123, it would be a K121.
  12. Nice looking Chevrolets. Well done.
  13. Nice modifications. I like your progress so far. Any plans for the wheels & tires?
  14. Great looking Autocar. It's a well used work horse.
  15. That looks awesome! Well done.
  16. Fantastic job so far. Very well detailed.
  17. Nice start on your short nose Diamond-REO.
  18. Interesting KW, but it's actual a W923 as it has a spring rear suspension. Have you looked intro Masterbox figures: http://mbltd.info/figures/1-24-scale.html They make some 1/24 scale drivers.
  19. The Kenworth 900 Series (narrow nose) debut in 1956, and was produced through 1962. In 1962, Kenworth introduced the W900 (wide nose) which as Casey mentioned continues production with various changes to today. For reference, here are what the various kits build up to: AMT Kenworth W923/W925 - 1969-1971 (W923 spring rear suspension / W925 tandem torsion bar rear suspension) Revell USA (Monogram) W900 AeroDyne- 1976-1982 (AeroDyne sleeper debuted in 1976) Revell of Germany W900 - 1972-1982 Gary Wallace of GW Trucks does make a W900B resin conversion kit. One of the changes from the W900 kits & the W900B is the exhaust is run on top of the frame instead of below it. When you look at old pictures, Kenworth had a 900-series & a 500-series conventional that looked virtually identical. I'm not sure what the difference is: diesel vs. gasoline maybe? Not sure. To make matters more confusing, Kenworth called their COE at this time (predecessor to the K100) a 500-series. No idea why.
  20. Wow! Dave. That thing is a monster. Great progress.
  21. Thanks, guys. I'll take a look.
  22. I am planning on building the 1/24 Italeri DAF XF105 Super Space Cab here shortly, and the plan is for a yellow cab with a black frame. Why? Well, yellow seems to be DAF's color of choice, and I have a hell of a time painting red & yellow so i figured I'd torture myself. I am not really familiar with European trucks or European transportation companies, so I am hoping that some of our European members might be able to help me out. Are there any transportation companies in Europe that use yellow DAF XF105 tractors? I don't have any European company decals except for Monjean Transporte out of Düren, Germany (but those are slated for the IVECO Stralis), and as far as I know, DAFs are not used here in the US. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  23. Looks great, Tom. Very well done.
