  1. Thanks, guys. Glad you like it. @Mark R - I've been trying to improve my dashes, so thanks for the comments. I think it came out rather nicely, too. Used toothpicks to paint the silver on the bezel rings. It takes some practice, but I'm getting better. I just wish the photo wasn't blurry. @Matthew - touched that up this morning! @Ray - Thanks. Just scanned in the cover of my copy & reduced it. Would you like the file? The Atlas I got from the Rand McNally Website. I wanted to make a mapcase or something, but I couldn't figure out how. Did have a "minor" set back today. Turns out the engine is mounted too high to get the aircleaner piping to fit. So, I had to remove engine, and mount it lower. See? These are the things you learn when you do things like this.
  2. So it's been a while since I posted any progress on my 1980 Kenworth W900. I haven't managed to get a lot done, but I did make some progress. Since the last post I've finished the interior (some of the "Old Timers" might recognize the book on the bunk), mount the hood & cab, and break the drive shaft while mounting the cab! It's always an adventure. I think it's just stacks, radiator, roof lights, & horns. Then we'll call it done.
  3. Try Chris over at SourKraut's. He should have just about everything you need.
  4. Now that's purple! Are you planning on a long wheelbase tractor or a straight truck?
  5. Very nice! Those cypress loogs look very "in scale".
  6. That sure is a big change. Looks pretty good. I like it. Sort of a "home away from home".
  7. Looks like a nice clean build. I like the two-tone paint job. Looks like maroon & yellow. Is that right?
  8. It might be, but I couldn't find it.
  9. You might want to see if you can get a hold of Arjan. Maybe he'll be able to post it on his Fotki site. You'll save a fortune in postage!
  10. You got a point there, dude! Also, if a modern trailer hit the market, there would be chatter about it for months a head of time. Just look at all the talk about the LoneStar. I couldn't tell from the photo, but I thought he might have scratchbuilt it, or something. Mooooo!
  11. Ah! Well, that explains that.
  12. Wow! That's shiney. What did you use?
  13. That is a nice blue. What is it?
  14. In this issue of the kit, it's a Cummins NTC350.
  15. True, and Miami is a suburb of Havana.
  16. Probably wouldn't turn very well, and deliveries would be a nightmare; but I bet it would ride the Interstate really nice.
  17. Does Miami count? Lived there from 1973-1986.
  18. Sounds like it could be an interesting article. What magazine was it in?
  19. Yes, you'll have to resize them. The ones I've downloaed are about 3.25" high x 6.5" wide. I resized them to about .19" high x .4" wide (approximately 6" x 12" in 1/25 scale).
  20. Glad to help. I've "downloaded" a bunch of plates as well. All I need is to get some BMF decal paper, and print them up.
  21. Ryan, Here are some sites that you can download actual plates from. All you need to do is resize them. http://www.moini.net/home.html http://www.plateshack.com/
