  1. The good thing (or bad depending on how you look at it) is the Kenworth T900 Australia kit is basicaly a US W900 with some Australian looking parts thrown in the box. I asked over ao Tony's Australian truck forum on making this kit into in Australian truck, and I got a list of about 20 things that needed to change from the hood to the tail lights & everything in between.
  2. I remember them unloading watermellons from trucks that way in East Texas back in the early 1970s. Very cool to watch (sorry, no pics). Definately don't leave you coffee cup un the dash! Or anything else loose, for that matter.
  3. No, sorry, I don't. But i would guess that anyn of the AMT Silverado kits would do as you're just going to take the cab & interior from it.
  4. Yes, that's the Ford LN8000 I was talking about. As for the Silverado, yes, you'll still need that kit, too. I think you used the engine & interior from that kit. If you go with the Plaskit hood, you'll need the cab from it as well.
  5. Matt, You can add my name (what the heck): James Bongiovanni, Chittenango, NY, USA So you know, I've posted information about this thread on an Australian model truck board. They really seem to like 1/16 over there, so I figured they'd like to know. I told them that if they weren't members here, to post their informaion there, and I'd forward it to you. Sound like a plan?
  6. You and half of Australia! You know, it probably couldn't hurt to start a letter writing/e-mail campaign to Revell USA to see if we can get these 1/16 kits reissued (can't immagine how much they'll cost). Seemed to work for the 1/25 Kenworth W900 Aerodyne Snap-Tite kit.
  7. Nice job on the KW. I like your company decals & your interior. Very clean.
  8. Yes, I think that will work.
  9. New links. Dropdeck Trailer Drop Center Trailer Double Drop Trailer Extendable Dropdeck Trailer 48ft Spread Axle Trailer
  10. Did you look here: http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/NASApp/mediumduty/gmmd_home.jsp Looks like it has just about everything you need.
  11. From their Web site, it looks like a T800B. http://www.oharetowing.com/heavyduty.php See the daylight door? That was introduced by Kenworth in about 1995. Best bet: shoot them an email telling tham what you would like to do. They should be able to give you what ever information you need. Good luck.
  12. Sounds like some good stuff is in the works.
  13. Thanks for the info. I know very little Russian, but my Russian & Moldovan dance instructors are sort of teaching me. I'm trying, but it's not easy.
  14. I don't think my wallet, or SWMBO, could handle it!
  15. That's really nice. I'm diggin' the wing. What are you going to use to paint it? Will you be using Alclad, or something like that? спасибо
  16. Dave used the battery boxes from the Revell USA/Monogram Kenworth W900 for those. I think they're late 1970s early 1980s. I don't know if Gary Wallace has newer ones or not. He has a lot of KW stuff.
  17. Dude! You're killing me! I'm going to have to get about (6) more of the Revell of Germany W900s. How are those torsion bars suspensions coming?
  18. That looks nice, Eric. Too bad I'm not a Peterbilt guy, but I know someone who is!
  19. For this GMC, you could go with the All Season's Collectable Toys GMC Topkick which is a 1999: http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&category=2&product_id=28. Here's his crew cab version: http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&category=2&product_id=536. Plaskit makes a hood conversion: http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&category=6&product_id=84 Daniel makes good stuff. You can get a hold of him at plaskit_resin@yahoo.ca As for a base kit: you'll need an AMT Chevy Silverado kit AND an AMT Ford LN8000 kit. Lo-Pro tires couldn't hurt either. http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&category=9&product_id=109 As for an engine, well you'll have to modify the one in the Silverado kit as there are currently no resin Class 5 engines available. I think the Caterpiller 3208 from the Ford LN8000 kit will be too big. You need a Cheyy Big Block V-8. Hope this helps.
  20. Mobeius Webstore still says end of 2010 for a release date, and $69.99 for a price. http://www.clubmoebius.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1300
  21. Nice looking Western Star. And the trailer seems to be coming along nicely, too.
  22. Wonder why a MAN engine? That doesn't make sense to me. Personally, I'm hoping for the MaxxForce engine that Navastar makes.
  23. Nice trailer. Should be a nice combo. What kit are you using for the trailer?
