Auslowe Kenworth K108

Very nice! I'm following this with great interest. I wonder what an americanized version would look like... -
Peterbuilt log truck
BigBad replied to signguy2108's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
The truck looks a lot better with the parts de-chromed. Nice rig! -
It's a good looking kit and it's HEAVY! I got the same one with the additional US conversion kit that adds the LH steering and dashboard, new front air inlets and side skirts. This is a build to watch!

A model kit I would like to see ?
BigBad replied to Mr mopar's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
We could even simplify their work... Lets have a reissue of the VN670 or 780 with an engine and poseable front wheels. But any recent truck would be welcome such as the 880. -

Looks great as usual!! Looks like you made the trailer out of a disco mirror ball! Pretty darn awesome. -

Nice rig! Nice daycab version of the Bulldog! I like that trailer too, what kit did you use? Also, I see you have nice display cases for your trucks, How much do they cost to get done? -

One thing to remember, the cab, when installed as per the instructions sits way too high. When the cab is lowered though, the kit grill will interfere with the bumper when the cab is tilted. The Photo etch kit will correct this. -
Are we still in line for an April release?
-
Oh yeah, this truck looks good in any color... Plain white, black, yellow, orange, red, blue, green and anything in between.

I know I'm late to answer but it wasn't to discredit your comment. I have been waiting eagerly for this kit as well and I can't wait to put my hands on one or five... My comment was just to emphasize the accuracy of the truck. Your comment was a question anybody here would have asked. Thanks for doing it by the way!

Gotta love that wooden deck! Nice! I thought of putting some Peterbilt light pod on that hood. That is going to look pretty good! -
Auslowe drop deck 48 foot trailer
BigBad replied to BigBad's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks for the comments guys. This was an experiment in small scale business multi-media kits. While I think that this type of kit is not for the inexperienced and is fairly expensive, it's worth it as there are no other sources for a step deck trailer at this scale. It was a small chjallenge for me, but it was enjoyable, it give good results once built and looks good behing an Italeri tractor. I still wish Italeri or Moebius would produce something similar that anyone could buy and build easily. I still have to finish my Peterbilt with an AITM headache rack and connectors. That is the next step. -

Here you go Kostas, this is the link when I first built my Italeri Pete: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61382&hl=%2Bgrey+%2Bpeterbilt As for the Kenworth W900 sitting on the trailer, I ran out of steam early on. I'll finish it but I have to look around for some ideas first. I'll keep you posted! -

Please show how you are going to work on the photo etch when you get to that stage. Some pointers will be welcome. -
Moebius 53' Trailer
BigBad replied to bodygaurd's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I think I've seen Terra Nova trucks before on the Trans-Canada... Nice job! The Great Dane looks pretty good behind the T600.- 34 replies

Some more pictures hooked up to the truck: Sorry for the picture quality, if the interest is there I'll take better ones. I still have to add some of the red & white refelctor tape on, there are some touch ups to do. I have to put some aerials on the truck plus the headache rack and the connections for the trailer. -
Transtar Large Car
BigBad replied to Chuck Most's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looks good from this angle! This would be a nice change for a more "regular" Transtar too. It looks like what a 1980's Lonestar would have been if it existed at the time. I like it. -

Lookin' good! Nice color choice, you could make a Schneider transport truck with that orange! -
