  1. All the issues with fitment that I encountered were before any paint was applied, so I was dealing with bare plastic.
  2. Now that I have built this kit, I have to say that this kit is nowhere near being anything of "Tamiya like quality", and I firmly believe that anyone that says this kit is on par with a Tamiya kit, has never seen a Tamiya kit or built one for that matter. For starters, out of the box , the ride height is something close to what you would see on a 4X4, and has tires poking out past the fenders. Over complicating the rear suspension just for the sake of parts count was not needed, and made lowering it and bringing in the tires a major pain. Then, the entire kit is basically a snap kit with an engine, almost every mounting hole had to be enlarge , the mounting pin holes on the wheels had to be enlarged if you didnt want to break the pins. Detail is soft in some area's like the side window trim, paint it with a rattle can probably would of covered it up. Molding in the side marker lights and third brake light , this is 2016, that IS NOT ACCEPTABLE !!!!, and then, I like how Round 2 provided extra decals for the bow tie's, the SS emblems, the Camaro emblems, the Camaro lettering for the engine, extra cluster decals , touch screen decals, four different vanity plates, but couldn't bother doing decals for the side maker lights and third stoplight. And then lets add in molding the mirror faces to the side mirrors, and no hood hinges or anything to keep the hood somewhat attached to the body. The only two things that I can say positive about this kit, well, three, is the windows black area's being done and the taillights came pre colored in the correct way. The third thing, is that when all said and does, it does look like what is supposed to.
  3. I agree here, FOX should of replaced DW with Gordon and not Larry Mac, I feel bad Larry Mac getting pushed a side like he did because of the giant ego that is DW , there is no need for two drivers in the booth. Gordon should be DW's replacement, he is still somewhat relevant and least has driven the current Gen6 race car. I guess the same could be said for Larry Mac too. Pretty much , I have to agree , Dale Jr is only popular because , well, his of who is dad was, just Danica , if her name was Dan Patrick, no one would give two you know whats and a what about her either. Never been a fan of Jr, and I grew sick of the Jr hype about mid season 2001. Hard to say, but I do feel even if Sr had lived, Jr would of still been stuck in his dad's shadow. While as a NASCAR fan, I would hate have a 3rd year in a row where a big name driver retires, but I kind of agree that this is the best time, and the perfect exit for Jr to retire, no muss, no fuss, clean and simple. He is currently signed for 2017, meaning 2018 is open, I can see him only being in the car a few more years, I wouldnt be shocked if 2018 is his farwell tour. Oh yes , over rated in deed
  4. What are you talking about ?, Bowman hasnt been signed by any team as of right now, and Dale Jr is looking to return for 2017 , and is planning on being in the Daytona 500. There is nothing else going on, and the only thing that could force Jr's retirement is his Dr. This was from Friday here at PIR Bowman talks about 2017 prospects: #88-Alex Bowman, met with members of the media Friday at Phoenix International Raceway. He discussed his role driving the #88 Chevy, his future plans in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and other topics. The transcript in part: Q) DO YOU HAVE A DRIVE IN PLACE FOR 2017? Bowman: "No, I'm still waiting for the right opportunity to come along. There's nothing that has really fit that has come along. I'll still probably have my day job at Hendrick Motorsports driving the simulator. We'll go from there." Q) THIS SEASON, STEPPING INTO THE NO. 88 CHEVROLET WASN'T THE EASIEST SITUATION TO STEP INTO BUT YOU'VE GOTTEN SOME SIGNIFICANT SEATTIME IN A QUALITY RIDE. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED THE MOST IN THE WHOLE PROCESS OF DRIVING THE #88 CHEVROLET? Bowman: "Really it's been a big learning process on how Hendrick Motorsports works - the process on doing things, how they operate as a team. It's been incredible to be a part of it, and I feel like I've learned a lot doing it. It's been a lot of fun and a huge blessing in my life to do this. I'm trying to make the most of it but at the same time trying to have as much fun as I can. You never know when this is going to end or if you're ever going to get an opportunity like this again. So it's been a lot of fun."(Team Chevy)(11-12-2016) And this was a few weeks ago when Jr address the media Dale Jr. making plans for 2017: #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. met with members of the media Sunday: Q: In your conversations with sponsors have you start committing to things for next year? Earnhardt, Jr. "My intentions are to race and that is the plan that we have going forward so we are booking things as normal per usual. We are doing all our photoshoots and everything with anticipation of our sponsors marketing me as the driver of the #88 car. I think that is perfectly on track and a reasonable goal to be in the car and be competing in Daytona. We can't sort of sit and wait. We've got to make a decision. Those types of things have to be decided quite early. So, we are moving forward with the plan to be in the car and I don't see anything that says that is not going to happen. Things are good."(Team Chevy)(10-31-2016)
  5. I have to agree with you, I have older version's of PS/CS that Adobe gave away free a few years ago with every intention of learning how to use them. I quilcky realized that I was not going to learn it just by messing around the program. I have no doubts with what you are saying about only maybe using 20% of the program. So let me ask you this, when you learned how to use it, was it less complex?, or has it always been a complex program?
  6. Whoops, meant to quote you , so yes, my post was aimed at you For sketches, they are impressive, one day I would like to learn how to use PS , seeing how its on my computer
  7. Mid 30's.
  8. Oh yes, I know that one. I can add one more, I bought a case of the Lindberg Crown Vic police kits back when those were first released , actually, I bought 13, I bought one while I was waiting on my case to arrive
  9. I am impressed with your PS skills.
  10. I just used "clear" for the search, and then selected the paint category , and it was at the bottom of the first page I believe.
  11. Thank you guys Other than the issue I had with the windows, build wise, it was fine, had some issues with the black stripe decals, not sure it was just me, but they didnt respond well to SET/SOL being used on them. I used Tamiya Yellow TS-16 Its a one piece window , and part of the fit issue that I could figure was the middle section was to low so that was resting on the top part of the rollbar/rear bulk head. I cut each window free , and that let the body sit down more over the chassis. There was still some a fit issue, but it was better. I am not sure it is something I did wrong, so I am curious as more get built if anyone else has the same issues. Correct, the body cant go any lower , I had to glue the body/chassis so the bottom of the chassis would be flushed with the bottom of the body. Ah yes, the low angle of the photos was done on purpose, to hide some of the flaws( not so great decal work on the top part of the body)

  13. To be honest, I did not sit there and study the plates, they did seem bit odd to me, but I quickly moved on from that I too can make my own number plates, so its not an issue for either.
  14. Yep, I missed that when I was doing my review video , I that is a sign I need to get my eyes checked again, anyways, the funny part, in the instruction sheet, you can clearly see the tires say "Goodrich"
  15. You beat me, no point in posting my Whats In The Box video now I wish I would of known about the numbers plates not being close to accurate when I did the video.
  16. Good question, this is my first time with them, but they are pretty darn popular and the quality is very nice, I would say go for it.
  17. 3500KG is 7716.179 pounds
  18. So far, I am at 20-ish of the Toyota/Subaru 86/BRZ kits, and I am not done yet. And probably around 10 or so Nissan R35 GTR kits
  19. Here is Revell's C7R , painted with Tamiya Yellow, overall, not happy with it, not happy with window piece causing the body not sit all the way down on the chassis. I had to separate all the windows and even doing that, there is still some fit issues.
  20. Got this today, not sure when it was actually left at my front door though.
  21. Turned out really nice.
  22. Very nice, good job
  23. Being honest, it is kind of a issue for me, nothing gets me more excited than boring stock wheels
