  1. Same here G, I have kick myself a few times for not getting some kits when I had the chance.
  2. I got myself a paasche starter A/B from hobby lobby, with the 40% coupon, its was less then $20 for it.
  3. Doc, I am still along way from that, and I will need to get a different A/B , I am trying to find more bodys to paint right now . Now did you have a carrying case for you A/B for when you carried around
  4. I have to say that I am starting to have fun learning how to use my new air brush, I have been spending the afternoon painting bodys with it. Went to LHS and bought some testors enamels to practice with. I can not believe the shine enamels have when mix with lacquer thinner. And how much more smoother the paint lays down, and the clean really isnt all that bad, I am kicking myself waiting so long to get one. I still have along way to go, but I am getting there and I am liking what I am seeing so far.
  5. I grew up here in the Valley of the sun, so not really a hot spot for anything cool or custom, but I grew up in the 80's so build I what I grew up seeing, and from stuff on TV, cars that I can relate too, but of late, my taste of building has move to the exotic or non US makes, thanks to TopGear UK show. But what it comes down, if I see car I like, and there is a kit of it, I will build it.
  6. Trying to decide on what color I want to paint it, I am kinda thinking of a few colors, one is green, one is blue, black, maybe a silver, or a dark gun metal
  7. Good point about sanding the top color, I never seem to remember that when I need to strip
  8. Was at the LHS today, and the Tamiya spray paint section was almost empty, they did have a few cans of primer.
  9. I bought seven bottles of paint, and some evergreen sheet plastic
  10. Thanks guys
  11. I did primer, I want to say I used a white primer on them
  12. I am in the middle, I will spend money on kits or decals, but then a the same time, I will be a cheapskate, I have a weekly model budget, I have to spend it wisely, so I buy a lot of ebay for that reason. I have a list of kits that I want, but are all higher dollar kits, meaning like from $40 and up range, so those are once a month purchase kits, or if I can get a deal worked out with sellers on evilbay, which I have in the past to get a few kits. I always shop around before I buy a kit online, I am more so looking at the shipping vs the cost of the kit.
  13. Chuck, thanks, but I said non hobby shops , like bookstores, like barnes and noble or others, I dont always have time to make it the LHS, but have book stores thats are a lot closer to me I am asking is I thought I heard that MCM was sold in other places beside LHS, I could be wrong though
  14. Haha I did, it wouldnt work, so I just hooked the yard trailer, and drove her around it that for a few minutes around the yard I didnt want to be flamed for putting my child in danger or something, thats why I said that. She loves the quads and riding lawn mower There is an employee at the local walmart that does ride his quad to work, I have seen him getting on at night to leave, I guess he lives in the neighbor hood right the road from the store, its kind of a funny site, you would understand if you saw it .
  15. They do have plates on them, granted off road plates, but plates still I dont think the car seat would fit on there very well Disclaimer I would never try putting my babys car seat on one those, that was a joke
  16. Gregg, do you have a list of sellers here in the Phoenix area?, I am thinking more of non hobby shops
  17. So post them up, dont want all the other colors under the rainbow to feel left out
  18. A sealed kit in the stash was a waste of money
