Lets do a 1964 1/2-1973 Mustang CBP to go with the others!
martinfan5 replied to Olskoolrodder's topic in Community Builds
I can tell you that pegasus 225/45/18 tires are just a tad to big, the wheel fits, but its lose, and over all the tire is almost to big to fit in the wheel wells, I will get a pic posted. I had the body painted, but I needed to sand some debris out, then ran out of paint, so I am stripping and going to paint it a different color now, I was going to paint it blue. Here is what I have got done so far On the left is a eleanor wheel in a pegasus tire, on the right the wheel is in a tire from revells mini cooper kit -

Why Did Figures in Model Kits Disappear?
martinfan5 replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Revell NASACR kits from I want to say 2003/4- to when they stopped making them came with a driver figure -
Very nice , I like it a lot, I was reading about this kit I think on a UK forum.

On this past sunday Topgear UK show, they did a piece on how China is "stealing" other car company's cars design and just renaming them. China has two of their own cars that they are making, dont remember the name of them . I think it was BMW they said during the piece, tried to sue and lost in a China court.

import fees or taxes
martinfan5 replied to jw78z28's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
With the cost of the shipping method that will get the kit to your door, its sometimes just as much as kit it self, so its almost better to buy more then on kit. Thats what stops me a lot from buying kits from HLJ/ hobby search. Then down side to using the EMS/SAL, is one it could take up to a month, and there is a chance that it wont make it to you. But it is cheaper I have three things coming from china and have not had to pay any fees, but these are also ebay sellers as well that I buy from -

I have open office , I will give it try and see if I like it better then using word. -
I would guess that the hate for the kit has to do with not liking the truck , I am not a big fan of the truck, but I got the kit, yes it was kind of a pain to build with the way the instructions were done, but when past that, its a very nice kit. I can not understand why people ask for a newer truck kit , then when one is made, they complain about it. I would rather have a new kit, then I repop of a kit that was done 20 or more years ago. Its like watching the same rerun of a TV show, it gets old fast. I am looking forward to the Prostar, it is a truck we see on the roads alot more then the Lonestar, I am going to get atleast one. I am greatful that we have a company doing newer truck kits, and I will support them as long as they do. I look at it this way, if we support Moebius on the lonestar and prostar, they may continue to give us newer truck kits of other subjects .

I have to decided to change engines on this one, putting in a NASCAR ford engine from a Revell NASCAR kit, not sure if I am going to use the air cleaner that came with the GT350, or use the cold air box from the NASCAR engine. What tires will work for the eleanor wheels?, -

Yes you did Dan, people acting like children is all. I think I come on here to much, I am out of town for the evening and still getting on here, but I can only take so much of gambling at one time, no not in Vegas, If I was I would not be on here -
