  4. The lame place that now is the only LHS in my metropolitan area of 2.66M people carries these. There are several in 1/24 scale. I have been tempted at the $60 price, but haven't brought one home yet
  5. Use the Febreze !
  6. The Living Desert near Palm Springs has a huge (3/4 acre) outdoor G-Scale layout that is great fun to just stare at for hours, LOL. Not a train person myself, but as others have said, I appreciate things done in miniature (even doll houses). http://www.livingdesert.org/plan-your-visit/things-to-do-and-see/g-scale-model-train-display/ The Living Desert is a fantastic place to visit, and the trains are the icing on the cake.

  8. secretly loves munchkins
  9. I looked up the instruction sheet on the Revell site, and there does not appear to be alternate decals. Maybe someone who has the kit can confirm?

  12. Small correction: The Ambassador was a licensed copy of the Morris Oxford, not Minor. They were a bit of a joke by the end of the run because there were so many nicer and more modern cars available from Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Toyota, Hyundai, and others. I don't know how old your friend was, but I can understand his feelings for the Ambassador as an icon in India. I was amused to see "AC Car - No Hand Signals" stickers on the back of the newer ones when I visited in 2005 and 2007.
  13. No, that's Toronto.
  14. Don't really see that around here. Last minute Facebookers and texters, but not voice. We love to blame millennials for everything rude and classless, but yesterday showed that some early baby boomers have forgotten how to behave in public. After the movie, we went grocery shopping. There was a late 60s couple that used a walker and a shopping cart to block all access to the heirloom tomatoes as they were squeezing all of them. No clue that there was anyone else on the planet that wanted to buy tomatoes.
