  1. I bought these in the mid 1980s IIRC. Sold the car in 2001, so my mind is a little fuzzy about the details. I bought them from a local Mustang parts store. They were on the owner's '68 GT 350 convertible that was originally delivered with a supercharger. I was told they were early reproductions. He scored a set of genuine N.O.S. original wheels that went on the GT 350 so he offloaded these to me. Sorry I neglected to dust this photo before I scanned it.....
  2. I bought a garbage disposal last year and saved ~$50 over Lowe's or Home Depot. We were redoing the kitchen and were going to replace it anyway. I don't have my eye on anything this year.
  3. Thanks Bill. I was hoping you would chime in.
  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, What color was the flat metal plate between the engine and bellhousing painted on a 4-speed 426 Hemi? Or for that matter, any 1960s MOPAR engine? Engine color, black, not painted, etc.? I realize that most of it isn't visible, but a little of it is behind the oil pan. TIA
  5. Or were you referring to this one?
  6. It was great to meet you and I am glad to see how well you and Dave took to each other. That front clip and decklid you scored are awesome. Can't believe that sheet metal sitting outside for 70 years survived so well.
  7. I have been communicating with forum member RSchnell for a while (I know what the "R" stands for!) and I finally met him today and we hung out for a while. Really nice guy. "That's nice", you say, but I live in California and "R" lives in Florida. Where and why did we hang out? Watch the 1:1 project car thread for more information 🙂 I will let him post the pics.

  9. Are you the charter member of The Nit Picking Old Ford Guys Named Steve In California Club, or am I? LOL. I thought the same thing when I saw the master cylinder. If that is the only misstep, it can be easily fixed with resin or 3D.
  10. I have this kit in the stash and just got the '72 Plymouth Riverside winner. I may decide to build them side by side since they are pretty much the same other than the decals. I also have the '74 Charger that I saw in person winning at Talladega and am currently building the Lindberg '64 Belvedere. I am not a Petty "Superfan" but these late '60s and early to mid '70s NASCAR cars bring me back to memories of watching ABC's Wide World of Sports when they occasionally televised racing. These Salvino's kits have warts and I count on you guys to point them out before I crack one open.
  11. Might be a dumb answer, but since you are doing a custom interior, I would just eyeball it and use the width that looks right for the effect you are trying to achieve. I "corrected" the rear seat in a Revell '68 Mustang and I used 1/2 round that matched the front seats. You don't have to do that, and custom interiors usually are pleated further apart than stock interiors.
  12. I seem to remember that the LHS had them marked down to $3 and they still were a hard sell when the "U.S.A. Oldies" series was still current.
  13. LOL. John, we have seen your photo and I do not believe that a mullet is possible. Great play on words however, thanks for the chuckle.
  14. It learns. It returned a major fail when asked the name of my semi-famous cousin's dog a few weeks ago, but it is correct now, and knows the names of his other two "less famous" dogs as well.
  15. I am not an AMC engine expert, but I have read that all of the JoHan AMC V8s were actually the early engine series that includes the 327, not the later series engine that they should have been. Someone back me up or call me an uninformed liar please 🙂
  16. I would never advocate stealing other peoples' intellectual property, but I have captured images from sites that sell said type of 1:1 decals and downsized them to 1/25. Printed on decal paper, and you are done. I feel that as long as I am printing one for my use and not selling them, it's not a big deal.
  17. I was wondering when someone was going to point this out 🙂
  18. If they are, they are old. Dodge last built a 5.7 AWD Charger in 2020.
