  1. Maybe the dumpster captain had to pee really badly and that was the closest parking spot.
  2. I wish I could have joined you guys that day. I would have gladly ridden in the back seat of Dave's Taco to see that. Your artistic eye shows in the way many of the photos are composed.
  3. Well, ICE drivers have been known to block EV charging stations on purpose.........
  4. Not in my eyes, but it's all about the subject matter you like. Some members on here would pay that for an old annual without batting an eyelash because that is what "speaks to them".
  5. I am thinking the Chargers use something like this which is a Whelan Avenger II. They can also be permanently mounted. Their new stealth vehicles are Durangos in varying boring shades of SUV colors with shadow graphics. They use two much larger visor lights. Saw a guy in a beat up RX-8 with no plates blow by one a couple weeks ago. Guy was solo in the HOV lane. Took the cop about 3 seconds to light him up.
  6. Thanks David. I am still trying to figure out what they look like myself. I have only seen them from outside.
  7. Agreed, that isn't what I am looking for, but you you just gave me several more ways to drain my wallet. The lights that CHP is using on the "stealth" vehicles seem to fit in the area between the sunvisors and the mirror, at the top of the windshield. They are very low profile as not to block vision.
  8. Is there a source for these high mounted red/blue lights in 3D or resin? CHP is using them in their "stealth" cars and since I hate masking, I plan to build my 2021 Pursuit as one of these all white versions. TIA.
  9. You can subscribe from The U.K. if you want to. Tick the International link and it becomes a choice. You can even get a digital subscription.
  10. My favorites start out, "Dear Costumer"
  11. I like the Wisconsin plates with the cheddar cheese paint 🙂
  12. Not saying any more other than I did get my order. I found Mark Twain Hobbies on FleaPay and they stock a lot of MCG stuff. They also have a website that I order from now to save them the FleaPayFees. That is how I order now. They are also halfway across the country instead of completely across the country, so I get my orders quicker than ordering direct.
  13. All I can say is that I had something similar happen to me a few years ago. I refuse to buy directly from him now and will seek out an online hobby shop that has the fret(s) in stock when I need PE.
  14. I have a Countdown series '66 coupe with ten spokes that I think may have come from an early Shelby kit. I need to find it and see how the wheels look.
  15. I had one of the metal Sears Allstate service stations. It was one of my favorite toys.
  16. Yeah..... My friend bought a '71 in 1979 that was an original Sacramento car (Turner Datsun) and in that short period of time in a very dry climate it had rust perforations around the rear window and windshield gaskets. Another friend had a '76 280Z that he bought in 1979 when he lived in Santa Barbara. The salt air was enough that the cowl and hatch area were perforated even after moving to Sacramento in 1980. I helped him replace some of the metal and he did a respray in the garage. It turned out very nice. Pretty sure most of these cars didn't outlast their original owner's loan in road salt states.
  17. 2016 Mazda3 S Grand Touring 6MT. Purchased new, now has 122k miles. Racing Beat springs, Koni Special Active struts/shocks. Centric pads and rotors. Second set of Michelin Pilot Sports. Serious hoot for an econobox that flirts with 40mpg on highway trips and averages 32-33 mpg in combined driving. Rear Konis were already installed when I took the picture of the struts and rear springs on the garage floor.
  18. Still not grasping why you need to transport a MGP car on a trailer. The MGP near me turned into a shopping center a LONG time ago.
  19. Bag your own groceries they say, and you will save mucho dinero.
  20. The coast can be cool and foggy even (especially) in the summer, but go inland a bit and it gets a lot hotter quickly. I am about 300 miles north of Alan in the central valley and it's 99 degrees now. 85 miles away, San Francisco is 65 degrees.
  21. Something in this room smells, and since I am alone, it must be me.
