  1. A Cobra roadster is not swoopy. It is muscular, brutal, etc. etc. Swoopy implies smooth and shapely. A Cobra is not smooth.
  2. Fabulous.
  3. There you go Harry! Another lawn ornament for you!
  4. It must have been later than the Daytonas judging by the Lenco, Cragar Super/Trick wheels and the strut front end. I never saw pics of that car before. Thanks for posting them. Very cool.
  5. Notice the handy chain for towing under the two front bumpers to tow this POS when it breaks down again!
  6. March 1957 - but I can't say any 57 domestic cars appeal to me. I would have to go with a VW 23 window bus.
  7. Bugatti Atlantic - all time number one swoopy car. Serious textbook swoop if not pretty Semi- swoopy? I think there is a little Hot Wheels of it, too!
  8. No one has mentioned the 58 - 60 Lincolns. Those are real bad! They make the Edsel look really good! The original Kaisers and Frazers were just boring slabs! Totally unredeeming in my book. Refrigerators were sexier!
  9. That is the most awesome thing ever!! OMFG!
  10. Interesting thread here. I would venture that when opinions differ that the car in question is not a total stinker. I kind of like the Juke for it's quirkiness. I like most of the Scions except the newer B. I do like the Kia Soul but I think it needs smaller diameter wheels!!! I can not understand why the Chevy SSR is on that original list. It is a loud but very wild and fun vehicle. It is certainly not embarassing to be seen in one. I think we ALL can agree that the most embarassing vehicle to be seen in or to be known as the manufacturer of is the Pontiac Aztek - Buick Rendezvous! Also embarassing were those Pinto "Cruising Wagons" of the 70s - Sure! Cash in on the Van fad with a sub-compact. Ford also had those silver and flat black Mavericks. I would be embarassed to be seen in a Delorean, a Hummer, most jacked up 4WD trucks, and on any Harley!!!
  11. Awesome! I admire your determination to finish a whole team set of vehicles. I love tour Ford team also. keep up the fantastic work. I also have the 65 altered wheelbase car about half built. I need to get back to it!
  12. There is cool picture in a book about these cars that shows a bunch of them racing on a dirt track in their coutry of origin! It is awesome.
  13. Pretty sure that is the Aurora 1/16th Stutz. The Mercer was in yellow plastic.
  14. Oh Russell, Russell, Russell! What to do with you? Lambo Woodies for GSL25?
  15. That is what is so cool about building models. You can let your imagination run wild and you are only out the price of a couple of kits. By the way, I have to ask you this question - why only eight wheels?
  16. Hey you guys! Lay off the Pyro insults. That is a pioneer plastic kit. It came out in the mid to late 50s originally. Obviously the Monogram is better but that came out in the mid 60s. You can't judge everything by modern standards.
  17. I am barely recovered from GSL and here you almost have another model done!! You are an ANIMAL, John Teresi!!
  18. Then what is the deal with the working jack!!!! Come on , now!
  19. Being a typical Mopar I am sure he had leaf springs holding up the car and those big ladder bars act more like slapper bars and the spring just damps the slapping!
  20. I love the convert top cover behind the top painted the same tan as the top!
  21. Thanks for sharing the pics, Scott. It was a great show and the quality ran deep. My entry was in Motorcycles which is usually pretty sleepy. NOT this year. There were at least 4 excellent builders with multiple entries this year. I considered myself lucky to place third. By the way. I didn't see a pic of my model in amongst your 570+ photos!!! What the hey!!! See you in two years! And to all of you who say it is on their bucket list to go to GSL - You are fools! Put it on your schedule, not your bucket list. That is like saying maybe I will have a good time before I die - if I get around to it!
  22. That dragster is in 1/43rd scale and closely resembles Tony Nancy's car! It has a pretty nice blown hemi and supertrick wheels!
  23. Thanks Gary! I saw a lot more in your pics than I actually saw while I was there!
  24. I am enjoying seeing your build of this kit. I am a long time Mini enthusiast. I have built 5 of the Tamiya and 5 of the the Fujimi Rover Mini. I will have to get several of these. Just judging from the pictures, I like the Tamiya interior sides, wheels, tires a bit better. I like that Revell put more in the engine bay. It will make a great side by side comparo! It will be interesting to see what variations they may make in the future.
