  1. Welcome back! What color are you planning for paint? I need to get one of those silver Sharpies...
  2. The rear tires are actually included in the kit...it's a 2-in-1 kit that includes stock and drag bits. Thanks for the compliments everyone!
  3. That is GORGEOUS. Do you have a link or contact info for the source of those wheels?
  4. Very nice, and excellent work on the hand-painted upholstery!
  5. Really nice stuff!
  6. Really nice, love the Toronado!
  7. Beautiful!
  8. In all my years of building, and reading/posting on forums, I have never done an end-of-year recap. This year, I got off my butt and completed several projects that sat unfinished in my workshop. So, here's my Class of 2014:
  9. That looks great! Are the stripes pre-painted as well, or are those decals/stickers? Gonna have to grab that and the 2015 Mustang soon
  10. Finished this build last weekend, and while it's not perfect, I'm certainly proud of it. The photos make it look much more blue than it is (true color is much more aqua, a Duplicolor color that escapes me). The exhaust is half-kit, half-aluminum. There were supposed to be trim pieces on the tops of the front fenders, but I broke one while removing it from the sprue, so bits of strip styrene and chrome silver paint take their place. The side-view mirror face went missing, so was replaced with the "pupil" of a googly eye. And I know it's missing an air filter, the carburetors actually have some decent detail that I didn't want to hide lol. On with the pics!
  11. That is gorgeous!!!
  12. In the past, I've used black duct tape for seatbelts and fuel tank straps, a kitchen splatter screen or juice strainer for grill mesh, and guitar string for a radio antenna. I'm at work right now, so no pics on my work PC...but I'll see if I have any examples when I get home.
  13. These are both White Lightning...sorry, no outdoor shots, perhaps I can try tomorrow if the sun is out...
  14. That is HOT! I love the updated Rallys!
  15. That is very pretty.
  16. I kinda want to do a pink 'Vette now, this looks great!
  17. Your third build is better than my current builds, and I've been at it off and on for 35 years lol. That looks fantastic, I love the details you added to "girl it up". I especially like the panel lines, what is your technique to darkening them?
  18. Kinda liking the NASCAR wheels myself, but I realize that they don't really match the 1:1 inspiration... Watching this one, interested which direction you take with it.
  19. That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen....fantastic!
  20. That is fantastic, the color and wheels suit it very well. My heart goes out to you, that is one keepsake to treasure forever.
  21. I am absolutely speechless...this is beyond amazing and into the realm of "genius". Such a beautiful car, and you are seriously doing it justice.
  22. That is simply gorgeous....I tip my hat to you, good sir.
  23. Well, no real precipitation expected here, but the HIGH on Monday will be -16....with wind chills down to -55. I love winter! lol
  24. Even with the orange peel, super-clean build...the wheels are perfect, just the right amount of drop, fantastic detail underneath and underhood.
  25. Fantastic stuff in here from everybody! Here are a couple of mine... The setting isn't the best, but I like the "old vs. new" aspect: This one is about the most "real" photo I have: I realize that it's an R/T hood with T/A stripes, I also prepared the T/A hood to swap out when I feel like it.
