  1. That is really cool, I like that a lot!
  2. Excellent work on a "builder-unfriendly" kit!
  3. Beautiful build, the color suits it well!
  4. That is a beauty, very faithful to the 1:1!
  5. Seeing everyone else working on or finishing their Mercs, I had to join in on the fun...lol Testors Ultraviolet Pearl, not cleared or polished yet... No, those aren't the whitewall inserts...I hand-painted the whitewalls with Tamiya Flat White acrylic... Actual stance will hopefully be lower than this, and I will be using the kit flame decals... Seats and whitewalls need little touch-ups here and there. Progress on this one will probably be slow...right now, I only work on models as the mood strikes me. I'm in no hurry.
  6. Looking good! I think you made the right move with the roof! And the redlines do indeed kick a**!
  7. I'd hate to be the small car that accidentally gets in the way! Looks hot!
  8. Beautiful build, looks awesome!
  9. Taking a look at this one for the first time, adn I gotta say, it's shaping up to be a stunner....just beautiful!
  10. I don't think I'd be brave enough to attempt a multi-piece body...LOL You, however, are certainly doing it justice!
  11. Quick build with a couple fit problems here and there...and I lost the driver side mirror somewhere in between completion and photography...lol(click for big pics)
  12. I don't wanna see this one in my rearview mirror! (click for big pics)
  13. When I was a kid, I remember building this kit and really enjoying it...so I found another one on eBay, and built it again. I used the same color scheme with this one as I did on my childhood one, except that the finish on the new one is Satin Black instead of Gloss Black....and in the second pic, one of the rear bumper bars is misaligned; this has been fixed. Enough of my rambling, here it is...(click thumbnails for big pics)
  14. Simply amazing builds, everyone! Here are a few of mine (not nearly as good as y'all's work...lol)
  15. That really does suck, sorry to hear of your misfortunes. If I had a dollar for every paint job that went south on me, I'd be a very rich man.
  16. Dead sexy! I think I'd go with a blue/silver combo myself.
  17. Finished this one last week....color is Tamiya Candy Lime Green, hope y'all like it! (Click for bigger pics)
  18. Looks awesome so far, just picked this kit up yesterday at Wal-Mart....must've been on sale too, because I only paid $7.00 for it! I stripped the chrome off the wheels, leaving them in a glossy gray finish that I think I'm gonna leave as is. Been thinking hard for a paint scheme....I think it's going to be Testors GTS Blue Pearl with yellow-to-red fade sections on the hood, denoted by the blue painter's tape on the hood:
  19. Hey folks, just wanted to stop in and say Hi! My name is Mark and I've been building (poorly) for probably about 25 years. So...um...Hi!
