  1. That's hot!
  2. That's hot, looks great! What's the trick to lowering this kit?
  3. That looks great! I wish one of the manufacturers would do a full-detail kit of the Tucker...
  4. Polar Lights Mach V snap kit...paint is Testors Flat Black lacquer with Tamiya Italian Red, overcoated with Testors Dullcote. Interior is some Krylon something-or-other with the same flat black. Exhaust tips are cut from aluminum tubing... The kit itself is just awful...LOTS of flash, and almost every part needed some adjustment to fit.
  5. I'm sorry, I don't know who (if anyone) makes an exact match for that color, or the paint code for that matter...but Testors Silver-Blue Metallic lacquer is a decently close match. Here it is on my unfinished Revell BMW Z8:
  6. Looks great, and the top CD is Rush - 2112.
  7. The Camaro wheels really work on that...nice! What paint is that? Kinda looks like one of the Testors One Coat lacquers...
  8. That looks really cool in the black/gold combo...I dig it! I had one of those kits when they first came out....I seem to remember messing up the taillights and gouging the body with something, so I never finished it and tossed it...I'd love to get my hands on another one someday.
  9. Excellent build, quite nice indeed! Any engine and chassis shots? I saw a 1:1 almost identical to that today...sounded mean.
  10. Engine and exhaust installed... I tried taking a pic of the body outside this afternoon, but it still looks too salmon-colored in pics....must be my camera settings. Will try again tomorrow.
  11. Yes. Yes it was. As stated, I'm not very smart.
  12. That's purrrrty!
  13. I was looking at the pics and thinking, "Well, where's the model?" Then I re-read the thread title and realized, the box WAS the model. I'm not very smart. lol That said, that looks cool!
  14. Very clean, and a great representation of the 1:1!
  15. Looks great!
  16. I think blue with a silver roof would look sharp...
  17. Man, I loves me some Crown Vics! I agree...no lightbar, but a couple round lights in the back window would be cool...
  18. Nice! '70s land yachts don't get enough love!
  19. Wow, way more than I'd have patience for! Excellent!
  20. Wheels are just posed in position...when I drilled them out to fit the kit mounting points, they had some play, so I figured "Why not?"...lol Paint looks like a metallic Panther Pink in person...in pics it looks more salmon-colored. I'll try to get some sunlight pics tomorrow.
  21. Welcome aboard Nicholas...very thorough introduction! I love the fact that you're 13 and, thanks to the camper, you're basically a homeowner!
  22. Welcome aboard, Kevin! Is there a (hopefully not painful) story behind your nickname? What do you like to build (muscle cars, trucks, race cars, etc)? Nice 'stang! Any plans for it?
  23. Finally, a few pics to share... Paint is more pink in person than I could capture in pics. I still need to give the paint a quick polish, then add another coat or two of color, then polish again, then clear, then polish, before adding the black fender tops and decals. Engine is waiting on exhaust manifolds to dry before they are installed and transmission painted, hence no engine pic yet. And no interior pic, because it is just basic black with little detail added, so nothing to see really. I am going to try to drop the ride height another .5 to 1 scale inch. Gas tank is covered with BMF and is probably too shiny to be realistic, but I like it and hey, that's what this hobby's about, right?
  24. Nice, I like those shelves a lot!
