  1. I like it so far! To get the best shine to the paint, you really should go on with 4000 Grit Through 12000 grit wet sanding !
  2. Jevin, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
  3. First I would take a lumpsome, and pay all tax's on it! I would then give money to Camp Boggie Creek to help Children with severe Illness's, and to the children's Hospitals. The I would setup Trust funds for my Children, and Grandson, where no one could ever spend the principle. Then I would build a new home, with plenty of room, and a large Hobby area including a dedicated Painting room, and a large garage of around 30k sq. feet, for my cars(I would make Jim a deal he can't refuse for my Sport Fury back). After that I would just enjoy my retirement collecting Hot Rods, Street Rods, and Mopar Muscle Cars, and building models of them!
  4. I really loved the military, but after 4 Purple Hearts, I was put on full Medical Retirement! I'm also a Historian, and write Articals on Ancient Military History! For 40 years I built Hot Rods and Street Rods, until my health wouldn't let me!
  5. Great Detail, Beautiful Build!!
  6. Those are all nice builds!
  7. Hector, Welcome to the Groupe !

  11. My Pat. Grandfather Owned a 48 Lincoln Continental, it was/is cream with a brown top and leather interior. He also had a 48 Ford Woody and 49 Ford F1. The farm owned several different trucks from pickups to Log Trucks and Horse and Cattle haulers. My Mat. Grandfather owned several cars over the years.
  12. Here is what I got today with more to come. The Talon siphone style airbrush is to replace my old trusted VL, the plastic bags each contain 20 bottles 40 one oz, and 20 1/2oz. I also got Sony's best SLT Camera!
  13. To me a rat rod is a bunch of parts, that are thrown together without much thought, and no care for trying to have a decent body!
  14. Re: WHAT DID YOU GET TODAY? « Reply #3294 Yesterday at 7:37pm » The Contract with the Contractor for tleaveling our old house and Building our new House where the old one was before the Fire. He said he should have the new house completed by the end of Febuary, so we can move in. I will have a 16'x 16' workshop/Hobby room in the new house! A new smart T.V., with a 3d Blue Ray and 1000 Watt Suround Sound. New Dremel Tool! « Last Edit: Yesterday at 7:39pm by ragnar »

  18. I was very sorry to here this!
  19. Congrats Shane! Great Paint! Congrats Shane! Great Paint!
  20. Pictures will take a lot of time and work to do. First I need to see what they were able to salvage myself, I haven't even seen it myself!
  21. Yesturday the Contracter rebuilding our house gave me the right to salvage anything I wanted from the house, and told use we had to hurry becaus the bulldozers will start leveling it later this week. My Son and dauughter went over this morning and took a bunch of cleaning supplies including mold killer and cleaner, and Gluves and Breathing masks and got to work! So far they told me they have saved 193 0f my kits, a lot of resin parts and bodies(mostly from R&MoM), 4 plastic drawer cases full of photo/etched parts, ignition& pluming wire, One of my Talon Airbrushes, they couldn't tell me if it was the gravity feed or the siphon feed, so i'll just have to wait and see it myself, they weren't able to save either of my H1 airbrushes, they did tell me my spraybooth looked ok, but they don't know anything about one so again I will have to wait and check it out myself, niether of my two comprssers survied, my son said they were able to save a bunch of pliers, tweezers, scissors, razer saw blades and a handle, files, jeweller's saw, and a bunch of tools he didn't know the use for, sanding and polishing supplies, paint mixer ( he didn't know what it was until he discibed it to me on the phone, he just knew it had something to do with paints), of course the evercote was ruined, As he put it a bunch of other stuff he didn't know what it was! I can't wait to see just what I have!
  22. The only rattle cans I use are Primers and ones I use as base coats, like rustoleum red brown, I use Testors Alluminum Metalizer as a base coat when ever I spray Pearl colours( I learned this trick from Donn Youst, proving that even after all the years as a model builder and painter I still don't know it all)!
  23. To me it is all about the build, doing it the best I can! I always love learning something new, that is why I like this Forum so much. I also enjoy researching my builds to get them right. Right now I am building a !929 Model A GOW JOB circa 1932, and a 50 Chevy 3100 pickup as a tow/push truck for a V8 sixty Midget(which I need parts for).
