Squadron Putty Formula Change?
64SS350 replied to crowe-t's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I had a tube of Squadron once that seperated or never mixed properly to begin with. I had to through it out. The Tamiya is nice, but in any kind of larger areas or in needs of any thickness, it shrinks alot....In my experience. Also use the spot putty for small areas, even used light Bondo for heavier sculpting. -

Cracking and crazing paint saga
64SS350 replied to Jamese30's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I'm thinking one of two or the combination of both. I've noticed some paints have a window for re coat, you miss that and you have to wait 24 -72 hours. I don't think I would consider clearing much of anything 2 hours after any paint job. -

Need help suspending 1/144 snow speeder
64SS350 replied to Evlwevl's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
What about using the wire, but painting it with a metal color ( gunmetal or lighter) to make it appear thinner? Also, piano wire that I use when building slot cars and models is much more rigid. -

Most are built, but generally nicely done. Either need finished or some could use a better paint job

Acquired these at the PA show. The Novas and Coronet boxes have double bodies, misc. parts. These will be parted out. Gas pumps from the diorama kit.

Cricut Question for Any Experts
64SS350 replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
First, it depends on your intended use, but it will cut a range of material thickness and type. I bought one to make vinyl decals and stencils for wood and metal projects. Also with my daughter and I into arts and cosplay, it may also come in handy. It has what is called Design Space, MANY predesigned downloads are available to you as well as the ability to design your own items and tutorials can show you how to use other pictures and sources to create items. I bought mine around Black Friday to get a good deal, or watch for sales, coupons, etc. -

Yes I see it now, should have listened closer to the video. Was just in amazement that it was released right after the Moebius kit.
