Cricut Question for Any Experts
64SS350 replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
First, it depends on your intended use, but it will cut a range of material thickness and type. I bought one to make vinyl decals and stencils for wood and metal projects. Also with my daughter and I into arts and cosplay, it may also come in handy. It has what is called Design Space, MANY predesigned downloads are available to you as well as the ability to design your own items and tutorials can show you how to use other pictures and sources to create items. I bought mine around Black Friday to get a good deal, or watch for sales, coupons, etc. -
Second annual summer Swap Meet, I will again be there with lots to sell, now including a Hot Wheels collection. Come join the fun!

Yes I see it now, should have listened closer to the video. Was just in amazement that it was released right after the Moebius kit.

Recently used a pre-wired magneto for the Flintstone Flyer II, the top and wires were nice, but the body of the unit was terrible. It was just turned styrene, lots of scoring. Faster for me to make an aluminum one on the lathe, in turn, no painting. -

So I'm curious if it's a coincidence that AMT came out with this right after Moebius, or is the mold being shared?

Yes, just email him. Makes items to order.

Over last couple weeks, found these various places. Tom McEwen and Batmobile kits, didn't need, but got them cheap. Plus some built ups and parts cars that have been recirculated.

Not sure if the ink would print on some materials, like vinyl. I bought a Cricut craft cutter for this, or if someone you know may have one. You load or design images and it cut it for you.

I guess first I would call it Race Worn, not weathering. You could try spattering from a stiff brush or the salt technique, which I haven't tried yet, only watched others.

I had purchased a drag photo CD from eBay a few years ago, good reference material

I also have started using the straight hand saw, but as much as possible I use my Dremel with a thin, fine toothed 3/4" saw blade, then utilize various drum sanders, files , sanding blocks, etc. -
Got some built ups today and also an Ertl metal Dodge van at the flea market. Can't seem to load pics at the moment, 70 Impala,59 El Camino,2-66 Novas, a 1/12 scale ,57 Chevy.

Thought about doing this also. Look into Pro Mods! -
That's pretty cool. He said it was an old 3in1 with custom option, I hadn't seen one done like this before.

Would this work for foiling trim?
64SS350 replied to Hotrod 97's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Mainly depends on material thickness, needs to be micro thin to form to areas being trimmed.
