  2. Thank you all for the well wishes. Al thank you for giving me a joke that caused me to spit coffee out of my nose. I have my inspiration it's my mother she has now dealt with cancer for almost a decade. And talk about the muhamad ali of cancer fighting she is the one.
  3. I want to be bad but my fiance makes sure I have no salt fat or taste in my diet
  4. Horrible kit any person that can make it look good gets a tip of my cap
  5. A few years ago I bought a monogram 87 buick grand national I'm wondering is this the same as the gnx that is out now? Does it have the same quarter window problem?
  6. I got a shock yesterday when I got a call from my doctor stating that the biopsy they took was positive for cancer and I have to have it removed I go back in a couple of days to find out if I need more done then just removal of the spot. I'll keep you all posted

  8. I would love one of those MPC cavi. I remember begging my mom to join me up with one of the model clubs but we never had enough money around to buy any of the kits that came later. I used to get so excited to get that box in the mail. Opening it and i'd realize NOT ANOTHER AIRPLANE OOOOOOH MAN this stinks lol
  9. Duh moments hmmm Do want the whole list or just the top ten
  10. Thanks jamie I didn't about using my dremmel to open it up
  11. I have been to a bunch of websites and forums looking for someone who has used waterborn paints to paint their car's. and have come up goose egg. So I'm wondering if anybody had used them on here? I'm looking for as much info as I can get. I'm sure I could find answers I'm looking for if I knew how to use the internet.
  12. I had trouble with this I hated tapeing and it bled underneath. The thing that has made my builds look 100 times better liquid mask brush or spray it on then just take a blade and clean up the edge works everytime for me . Oh when your done just rinse masking off with water
  13. Happy birthday Donn may all your paintjobs be a mile deep.
  14. Quite I few years ago I almost cut my middle finger on my left hand completly off on sheetmetal that went right through my glove. I had it sown back on. But ever since the feeling isn't quite right so it gets stabbed poked and smashed a lot. Mostly at my model workbench. X-acto knives are nasty little tools. Like you guys mine rolled off the bench but I didn't reach for it and it fell and like an arrow stabbed me in the top of the foot. I had just changed the blade and it was stuck in my foot a good 1/8" to 1/4" lesson learned. I always wear shoes at the bench now. Why couldn't it have stabbed the cat? Lol honestly just kidding My boy Beau learned that razor saws are sharp on his very first model. I told him he can use the saw but not an X-acto knife cause the couple time I saw him pick-up the knife he was being very irresponsible with it. So I told him hands off! when he nicked hmself with the saw I told him be very glad it wasn't the knife!
  15. This is on the subject but yet off I thought I saw at one time a M.C. That was set 90° from the pedal? I want to say it was for an under the dash unit was I seeing things? I don't like hijacking topics but I also don't want to sstart a new topic for this
  16. That os what I love about 1:1 car's amd model lits each one has their own nuances
  17. Ya wait didn't the pontiac tempests have a torque tube for a couple yrs?
  18. Where did you order that booth from?
  19. How long did GM use the torque tube? I know they still had them in trucks til at least 51 because my old 51 had the torque tube. Did they switch out the torque tube when they changed design in 54?
  20. I knew I should've waited a bit longer because ace would have a detailed answer. Anne if you ever have a question 99.9% of the time ace has the answer aand it will be detailed. He is the man!
  21. Prabably fell off the back of a truck lol
  22. A live axle or driveshaft has two u joints at each end and you can visually see it turning a torque is shaft that is enclosed in a tube that runs from the transmission all the way to the rearend. That is putting it simply.
  23. I have revells 40 ford p/u I have a quick question about the rear end. Is it a torque tube design or is it an open driveshaft
  24. Great build you scratch built the engine cool. What motor is it? I ask because every chev six I've ever seen has intake and exhaust on the drivers side.
  25. Harry I was wondering the same thing? Yes there is mostly men in this hobby but when guys find out my fiance also builds models they love it. She is the most popular member in our club. I can't say I have ever seen a bad thing said of female modelers in fact with the ablity Anne is already showing the fact she is a women plays in her favor imho because women tend to be more detail oreintated. I love the metalizers they add a richness you normally can't get with normal paints.
