I feel your pain. But at least you don't share your space with a wife and a kid like I do. Us modeler could have king arthur's round table and still not have enough room. Lol your project is looking great btw -

Me and my wife want to come over and play in your stash wow I'm a bit jelly a lot of nice kits and with your talents already they will look great. -
One thing when selling in lots you won't get near actual price because they need to buy at a low enough price so they can make a profit and in case it doesn't sell right away that don't take a hit. so if tey offer you a price that is 3/4 to as low half of actual value don't be offended. I worked in a mom and pop pawn shop when I was a kid and I learned half the stuff shops buy sit forever in the back room or on the shelf before paying off for the owner

Neat do you have pictures of the real car? I'd love to see it

Ya well we got in bed last night and 5 minutes later I hear a little restained chuckle. Then 10 seconds later another. Soon she is cryin from laughing so hard. I knew why but I asked "what is so funny?" Between fits of laughter she says "i know you want to spice things up but you need to try harder on decorating your stomach. :/ -
this is still mock up but does it look better? Is it to big now? Since it is a shield I'm trying to figure a design because you see a lot of them with slits all over or the truck name like KENWORTH. any ideas? I am going to change the bend to a 45° & remove about 4 mm from tip to transition pipe
-
Ok I got it thank you for your coments I will shorten them and get the shield largers

My families heart's and thought go out to him in this time loss

I see what you are saying honestly. I was re-creating what I did on my old P.W. Which was totally jerry rigged. I had a a set of 2.5" pipes that led up to the bed and being a teenager I thought that was not big enough so I stepped it up to 3.5" & then shrunk it back down after I got hassled by the police I have yet to make shields like I had on my P.W. But I 100% see what your saying but I'm going for the high schoolers rat rod and I will fashion some shields

I was putzing around today. And instead of finishing my duster like I should. I got an idea from another model I had. I starting looking at the viper kit lake pipes and later while playing with solder it hit me. So I dug out an old stalled project and fashioned a single stack for my 40 ford model rat rod. now it's based on something I did to my old dodge powerwagon in high school. Ya in rural MN we don't have much for taste and we lean towards tacky The solder is a little under 2" in 1/24 & the tubing is around 3" I know it's a bit tall but I want your honest opinion if it is a bit small and if it looks ok? It's one of the first scratch builts so I know it's nothing great but It is at least an attempt. Again it's something you see around here and that is what I'm going for. It's just leaning up now but if it looks ok I'll continue by making brackets and running the rest of the exhaust. I thank you for your opinions

Actually the edges looked nice and straight. Lol Rob I'm stealing the abs of steel line that is funny It looked better on me then the door panel lol -
last night I was putting BMF on the interior of my duster. My nerves could only handle doing one side so I moved on to plug wires on the old 340. When I had my fill I went and crawled into bed with the Mrs. well a few minutes pass when puzzled Jacqui asks "what is this?" I reply "what where?" She tells me and I'm feeling around trying to figure out what is on my stomach. I had no clue so I sit up and turn the light on. 5 minutes later the Mrs. and I are still laughing at the fact I had an 8 inch piece of scrap BMF found it's way onto my stomach. So on top of all the silly stuff I do in my sleep now Jacqui has one more piece of fodder to make fun of me with

First off I don't think many builders out there build rear diffs they mostly steal from other kits as for what type of suspension it comes down to research. Many older like the 68 charger had a duel leaf spring set up and to upgrade that to a modern suspension you would most likey go with a multi-link suspension. Research how such a suspension works and get the correct evergreen or plasitrut. I've build such a set-up in a studebaker so I could tuck a big set of slicks under it. Sorry no pics though. Each type of car though can be different. There are guys with a lot more knowledge who will be able to answer your question better I'm sure. -
Ever since well around 2002 after my transplant get bouts of insomia and what better way to pass the time with some good tunes ( right now T-REX jeepster playin electric warrior album ) and model building. But it can be a double edged sword because this is when most my mistakes happen. Is anybody else a late night builder?
