Pro Touring 70 1/2 Camaro *First post here*
JasonFL replied to ll Brandon ll's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Man, that really blows. I know how you feel, I'm going through some similar problems on a 57 Belair I'm working on. Just think of it as a trial run. Now go back, fix the f-ups , and the 2nd time around will come out looking even better then the first. Good luck with it, keep us up to date. -
Man Richard, that really sucks. I was really excited reading through all the post to see where this was going then I read the bad news about your evil evil cat...lol. It's a shame. Could you just chop the roof of and make it a killer little roadster for another project? It's also a shame you had to cut into that woody but it looks like you have a really cool idea coming together so im excited to see where you take it. I'm loving the stacks and dually wheels, they help a lot with the narrow long looking bed and a wide cab. Keep it going man, you got me hooked, no pun intended.

Glad I could help. I know what you mean, right now Im taking peoples suggestions into consideration on weather or not to put a license plate holder on my 49 merc. That was the perfect description of this car, even the wheels have a stock but aggressive look, man I love them wheels...lol! Don't rush it man, just keep doing what your doing and it will pay off. -

WOW! Brandon, what and improvement. The simple changes to the scoop made a big difference and I really like the rear spoiler. I'm usually not a spoiler kinda guy but I like the way you did it and when you look at it from the side it flows real nicely. Keep it up, it's really coming together now. -

'55 Chevy Truck
JasonFL replied to relaxednoma's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Man Scott, I was diggin that step side but then you went and stuck the other bed on there and I have to say, I might like that one a little more. Just flows nicely and still eats that rear wheel right up. Can't wait to see more progress, keep it going. -

I'd have to agree with Richard. I love those rims, would love to get my hands on a set of them. Where would one find them? Truck looks great great laid out, I actually like the step side look. Can't wait to see where your taken this one, looking forward to more photos and updates. Welcome to the site btw -
ZZ top's new 32, just a question
JasonFL replied to 11hamlin's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Love ZZ Top! Great music with some really bad a$$ cars. I saw a build the other day by a new member on here, Rich, who did a 32 with the bare metal look and I think it turn out excellent. Here's the link, check it out. Hope that helps http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64993 -

1932 ford 5-window coupe , big block / blower chopped
JasonFL replied to crazyrichard's topic in Model Cars
Lol....yea that photobucket can be a real pain. I tried uploading a bunch of pics the other night about 10 times and it just wouldn't let me. I almost threw my iPad across the room...lol. Sometimes if I have a lot of photos to load on this site I'll type up everything and paste the links to the photos in my notepad app then just copy everything right into my post all in one shot. That way I don't have to worry about it losing everything cause it's happened, more then once and it really blows. I'll have to check my kit, I knew there was 2 but I didn't remember seeing that dashboard. I'm glad you were finally ale to get the photos up cause that grill is really cool, I love that bare metal look with the weathering. Welcome to the site by the way, I can't wait to see what else your building. -

Another great build James, color combo is killer. I just have one question, what exactly do the stacks on the back deck behind the back window do? I'm guessing it has something to do with the sterio but to be honest I've never really seen anything like it Neil I joined this site. I also really like your skirt and spike treatment, makes me want to do it to my merc I'm building. What do you use for the chrome spikes? Killer build, sorry for all the questions. -
