  1. Thank Jim, Joe and Joseph. Appreciate you taking a minute to leave a comment.
  2. Thanks Aaron.
  3. Thank you, everyone, for your comments. I appreciate you taking the time to look and post something.
  4. Thank you guys. I appreciate the kind words.
  5. Here she is all wrapped up. Not the easiest build to put together but I managed. Two most troublesome parts were getting the cab to fit straight on the fenders and the door hinges. "The doors hinges work great", they said. I've learned to never trust these plastic door hinges again. I will say it did beat me there. Doors are glued shut. Modelhaus tires and wheels from the 1948 Ford kit. Thanks for looking and comments/feedback welcomed. 6. Thank Carl. Yes I did. I sprayed the gloss medium green and then I toned it down with Rustoleum Mate clear. Just finished it few minutes ago. 1 down 2 to go. More in the Under Glass section. Hosted on Fotki
  7. I don't know that this is a good idea. Alclad pain sets pretty quickly and you need to constantly be shaking it. I normally shake then pour a little out. My airbrush is a gravity feed as well so so sometimes I just use a dropper to get a small amount in.
  8. I saw this thread referenced in another one. Are there regular pins or thin metal rods?
  9. Excellent Caddy. the set of longhorns, where are they from??
  10. Hey Rob, I have a lot of his paints. They laid down super smooth. I build a 53 Ford Country Squire wagon using his paints. Weird thing is, he didn't have Sungate Ivory at all. All the rest of the colors, yes but not that one. I mixed a few paints until I got a shade I liked but its not as light as I would have wanted. But then again mine was only for trim. If you do get a hold of him, order plenty of paints. You wont be disappointed.
  11. X2 Great job on those hinges. Your eyes crossed yet?
  12. Pulled this one back out of the box. Should be wrapping it up pretty soon. Next pics should be the completed ones in the next few days. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  15. Hi everyone. Here is a little something I worked on this month. It is for JCs MOTM. The theme was lowriders. Don't build too many of these anymore but I think I captured the idea perfectly fine. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  16. I have a lot of started kits as well. Something that has worked for me the last couple years building the same exact kit in two or three different ways. That way I try a few different things that would normally cause me to put away the one kit because I can't incororpprate the new idea that pops in my head. One usually gets my interest more than the other two and I end up finishing 1 of the 3 kits at least. I've finished a few more that way than trying to build one at a time.
  17. I cannot begin to imagine the feeling of losing a child. My condolences to the family in this difficult time.
  18. Ditto. I would love to see what you offer and get some paints. Do you offer another option other than FB, Bob?
  19. That is very nice,Blair. Great job on opening up the rear. I have both of these and they are both pretty thick. Did you have to sand down the rear doors?
  20. Thanks everyone's! Did I mention this was my favorite build in 2014? Lol
